It looks like an Ipswich fan, with a great deal of time on his hands, has been trawling through this board... http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/28296/we-are-no-longer-the-plucky-underdogs--notes-for-hull
It doesn't appear he's misquoted anything, which is amazing. Straight reporting without bias..hardly ever see that.
I have to admit that it's a very good summary of the range of our fans views and very well put together.
**** me our MDTs are boring without the **** comments. He owes me, there's at least one of mine in there.
Liked a comment below all ours Well, well it appears that Hull have similar issues to us. Opinions and views of supporters not chiming with the Manager. Perhaps that tells us that instead of wasting time being critical of the club and individual players we should be more understanding and give the club credit for getting most things right but not yet on the pitch. MM will not be sacked so let's move on and give him the benefit of the doubt
This this this, hes too slow to make himself available to pick it up off the defense which resorts to dawson playing it long, hes also far to slow takin a touch getting his head up and playing the ball, by the time hes done all that the opposition have closed him down resulting in a backwards pass or a ball behind the wingbacks orrrr the other team have got back defensivly, far far too slow and casual for me we need to scrap the deep lying playmaker bullshit and get somebody whos quick minded and can pick a faster pass to pick the ball up off dawson/defenders
Or the post below that one... Could be reading the above, thinking it was Ipswich. Two dinosaur managers whose best days are behind them.
A good time to play Ipswich as they appear to have gone off the boil especially after losing Ryan Mason to injury. Whatever team / formation Bruce sends out should be more than good enough to beat Ipswich Town if they are anything like that is.
Very good summary by the Ipswich and it clearly expresses the growing and widespread frustration among our supporters at Bruce's tactics and overly cautious approach. We have the players for promotion. Lets send the players on to the pitch in an ATTACKING frame of mind. For once lets go at the opposition with all guns blazing. We need a mid-field willing to run with the ball and pass through their defence...not stationary and sidewards or backwards. Its time Meyler was in the starting line up...he at least is willing to get into the box and go for goal. Get Maloney and Robertson combining on the left wing...they know each others style of play. Sit Clucas and Diame. The former hard working but ineffective. The latter looking slower and more disinterested every game. With Jake in the middle and Elmo/Meyler on the right and Robertson/Maloney on the left we have players who can put pressure on from the kick-off. Above all...TWO UP FRONT. Hernandez has been brilliant at scoring from scraps. Lets give him room to run. Akpom is recovered from his injury and looked good when he came on late against Wendies. Both of these can score goals if the midfield can provide them with the right service. This is the game that Steve Bruce needs to show he understands what's been going wrong. Another painful and boring 1-0 win, or worse a draw/loss against out of form opponents will show he's completely lost the plot!! I'd start.... McGregor Dawson Bruce Davies Elmo Meyler Livermore Maloney Robertson Hernandez Akpom Good luck lads. 2-0 Tigers.
He's a good lad is our Harry. He does the same indepth article for every single game home and away. God knows how he gets the time but his articles are the stuff of legend.
