That article also mentioned how Rodgers/club PR tried to pressure Raheem into signing. I mentioned at the time that whilst Raheem could have handled it better, the club were just as bad and to blame for his exit with their constant public comments.

    Not what Sterling said

I doubt this is anything more than the agent trying to #backpedal out of making himself known as the biggest **** in a profession of ****s

I don't think he was referring to his goal scoring, more his work rate, chasing down defenders etc, like Tevez did <ok>

  7. In that case, please remove RvP from the list <ok>

I doubt the agent cares that he's perceived as a ****. He made Sterling a fortune and will have lots of players banging on his door asking him to represent them. I think he's just sticking the knife into Rodgers who he and Sterling clearly despise.

Can't knock Vardy's start to the season but will take another 18 months of consistent performances before I get excited. As we've seen over the years, the likes of Ricketts, Michu, Kane have 1 really good season and that's it.

    Are you joking?

Just about every news article about him starts with "Jamie Vardy, who racially abused a fellow gambler".

Do they do what he does then? Or, like many, are you judging him based off Match of the Day clips?

    #1132
  13. I'm not judging him, I'm taking the piss out of your Tevez comment. I've seen very little of him but I don't need to have to know that that comment was vastly over rating him <laugh>

I've admitted to forgetting about Suarez, but who else plays the game like he does and as effectively as he does?

    #1134
  15. Having not watched Vardy, I can't really comment. You are obviously suggesting he runs about a lot though so since you actually put "since Tevez", you could count Rooney too (been **** this year but Tevez left the PL over two years ago.

I just found it funny that you were comparing him to a worldwide known class player AND forgot Suarez <ok>

In style, Tevez and Vardy are about identical and it's pretty obvious that i'm not talking about ability.

and, to be honest, Suarez isn't really like him (in terms of play style) either.

But like you said, you've not seen Vardy play so you can't comment <ok>

  17. Can't comment on his style of play or abilities but I can take the piss out of someone for clearly over egging a player <laugh>

I bet you've not seen Samed Yesil play but if I tell you he's like Ronaldo (the fat Brazilian) in his prime I'm pretty sure you'd see through the bullshit pretty quickly :)

No doubt Fox fans will be impressed with Vardy - he's had a really good start to the season, plus if he keeps it up it's good news for England but let's just wait till he scores 30 in a season before getting too excited.

Absolutely, but that's because you're talking about ability.

I'm saying that there hasn't been a striker with his play style be so effective in the Premier League since Carlos Tevez as a player who played in a counter attacking team with high levels of venom, pace, work rate and goals scored and I absolutely stand by that.

  20. Fair enough, just in case you haven't realised though, I'm arguing for the sake of it as I'm bored at work <laugh>

    What's your thoughts on Mahrez?
