    Date: Tuesday, 20th October 2015
    Kick Off: 7:45pm

Given our standing at the end of August with wins against Queens Park Rangers and Hull, and since our recent poor run deeming this game so early on in the season as a "six pointer" was something that I thought I wouldn't be saying. Needs must as they say and we desperately need the points over our next three matches if we want to avoid yet another relegation battle. A relegation battle is something that we have become accustomed to since the departure of Alan Curbishley. Our last match versus Reading may have been the final nail in the fans trust of Luzon's tactics, mustering one measly shot on target during the entire 90 minutes. Social media buzz is showing contempt for the owner Roland Duchâtelet and CEO Katrien Meire's running of our beloved club. A loss at the end of the 90 minutes on Tuesday, we can expect to see chants of "we want Roland out." As for Luzon it now appears he could be on borrowed time which just demonstrates that he was never going to be our Alex Ferguson.

    The Opposition
Simon Grayson feels a positive result on Tuesday night could kick start Preston North Ends season. Simon Graysons men currently sit a place above us in the form table, us being bottom of the pack, having mustered one point more from their last six matches. He is confident that once he gets that first win they can continue to pick up results in the following matches.

    Current Form

Whilst our overall form is appalling, there is much that needs to be addressed. On paper given our bright start in August it looks like we are the better team, but be aware, we are without a win in all competitions since 25th August 2015 and have failed to impress in the last seven matches.

    Head-To-Head
    head to head.PNG
There has not been many meetings between Preston North End and us over recent times. The last time the two clubs met at The Valley was during our 2011/2012 League One promotion campaign, where Chris Powells men was 4 - 0 up at half-time, running out 5 - 2 winners, and from recollection, one of Phil Browns last games in charge for the club. The reverse fixture saw us give away a 2 two goal advantage ending in a draw, goals coming from Danny Haynes and Danny N'Guessan. The clubs both met during the 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 seasons which Preston North End certainly having more wins over us.

Club Updates: Post-Reading and Club Comments

**The last being a bit of a PR stunt from the club

    Line Up
With the red card on the previous match, we know that Patrick Bauer will miss this match. I would expect Luzon to start Naby Sarr alongside Diarra for this match. We could also see the first start for Steven Henderson, the man between the sticks has been much missed this season and was a big influence in keeping clean sheets last season. A start for Birdshit over academy player Fox was somewhat baffling change that I hope will be rectified for this match. I expect to see the following line up:

This is one that the bookies believe can go either way. It's going to be one that I'm not going to bet on, given that you could gain a bit, or lose everything. If you're a gambling man, I'd put down both teams to score.

    League Table & Fixtures

    Outcome
I don't expect this to be an easy game at all. The impetus will be with us to get the first goal and to continue on the match to win. Preston North End, despite their fortunes, have been quite a hard team to break down, and we lack a plan B and C if things are not going as expected. I think that they will come out of the traps and fight harder than we will and we will succumb to an early goal. Preston will try and hold onto their lead, but Charlton will score a late equaliser (as we do). Expect to see a mundane 1 - 1 draw.

Come the end of the match, we can only hope that Bristol City do worse than us. Needless to say, I'll always end with these words:

Nice one, China. I really don't like the look of that back four. This could be the match when the wheels come flying off at a rate of knots. Henderson played this afternoon so I don't expect him to play tomorrow. Let's hope Preston's shots are all in the air.

    Excellent preview <applause>

I knew we were in for a torrid afternoon at Reading when Birdshit (sic) emerged into a balmy afternoon wearing mittens. Really up for the fight <doh>

Latest news on social media is that Makienok has a chance tomorrow night, and that Ameobi's move has fallen through due to concerns about his fitness. Apparently the news that Shola admitted to having two plastic knees and no hamstrings prompted Katrien to only offer him a 4 year deal, when he wanted 5.

Formation and tactical options for Preston are a tad limited. I would drop Birdshit on the grounds that he is irredeemably sh1te, and would also jettison that little 16 year old from Everton on the same grounds.

I assume it will be 4-5-1 with Watt in for KAG.

Great preview. Would swap Moussa for cousins and have Jackson the advanced midfielder. Although midweek games are most convenient for me as I work in London, I just can't really be ****ed, and don't really care anymore. Will be down to about 9000 home fans tomorrow I reckon, which will lead to less on Saturday as we lose 2-0. Pessimistic but we have no reason to be optimistic.

Meh - can it not be an international break again?

Charltons favourite score since RD's been in control is 1-1. This will be another one of "those" matches. Watt to score if he starts.

Good news is all but one of our central defenders are injured and our forwards have not scored a single goal all season all set up to be a classic. Paying my first visit to the Valley hope the 9 hours on the coach are worth it

If she's only moderate it is probably better you watch the match makes sense in the long run

A choice between a moderate looking woman and an ugly Charlton performance. I would go for the former, HC. More chance of your evening ending with a bang.

A chance that Reza and Makienok will be on the bench.

Makienok tweeted saying "he'll be back for the Preston match" so probably on the bench. Maybe even placed in the starting 11.

As for Reza, I'm certain he's not that bothered, and is more intent on collecting his pay packet and not playing.

I hate all this cringeworthy **** that the comms team put up on Twitter. How about give us a reason to 'get the valley rocking' we haven't won in two months, have played awful football, whilst conceding plenty of goals. It should be #3pointsorluzonisoutandanothernomarkiscomingin

In the SLP Katrien says that Luzon's job is safe, we all know what that means (it's not).

I feel for JJ - did anyone else watch his cringeworthy plea for fans to turn up tonight?

Deep down he must hate having to do it. He's a club man, but I don't get the impression he's a stooge.

So it's going to be a sub 10,000 turnout?
