Not only has Swindon Town owner Lee Power sacked manager Mark Cooper, he's appointed himself as his replacement. <laugh>

I saw this earlier and had to laugh. Apparently he's not taking over permanently but is in no rush for a replacement. God help Swindon

Why God help Swindon? You only have to read this, or any other internet football forum, to soon realise that picking a football team and tactics is a piece of piss.

Mark Cooper getting the sack is no real shock. Been on the cards for weeks.

From losing @ Wembley - to losing key players - to poor results and losing games. Great recipe for getting your P45.

IF Lee Power is a success as a manager then expect Cellino to do the same @ TWS. <whistle>

Its not as mad as it seems. At least he has experience as aplayer. Its not like Ehab taking over.
At least he will learn how difficult it is to manage with the meagre resources he gave Cooper.

He's done it before, he took temporary charge when he became chairman of Cambridge United and sacked the manager there.

He used to play for Bradford if memory serves, he's probably some relation! Can't find anything on wiki, Lee was born 72 in London, Paul was playing in the North West, maybe some cousins or distant rather than direct!

When Bradford Park Ave were in the league their chairman did likewise. It was the route to their extinction in no time at all!
