Another good thing about this evening is that there seems to be a genuine wish to engage with the fans on a regular basis and listen to our issues. Well done Saints. A very useful hour indeed.
An opportunity for a commercial business to meet and discuss future developments with its customers/clients is a very valuable experience and engagement with the people who pay the money is to me an absolute must. The most exciting response for me came from RK when he disclosed that we will be announcing the USA development of our famous academy which will boost our exposure to the very valuable American market, boost incomes and you never know we might get ourselves some additional quality youngsters coming through into the first team squad Look forward to the next forum but feel an hour is a little short
There. Legend. Sod it. Legend status revoked. He only had to add...."because I never played against thish bloke Le Tisshier" at the end and it would have been perfect
To some extent I agree with what you say, Qwerts. However, I thought the Fans Forum went quite well, with its mixture of light and heavy questioning. Not everyone wants to ask THE QUESTION, much as we'd like them to. The only thing I really wish could be improved is the time window. Extend it to 2 hours or at least 90 minutes because those 60 whizzed by. But that's just as much a question for Radio Solent as SFC. I thought all the top table participants played their parts well. Adam Blackmore judged the pace of the programme quite well. I appreciated Ralph with his very positive attitude and his attention to detail. I liked Les' calm step by step answers, and I loved Ronald's sheer honesty and tact. His answer to the question of his staying after 3 years was exactly in line with the information that has come from those who know him. If he's happy at the end of 3 years he'll stay for longer. And at the moment, he finds no reason why he won't be.
Why do you keep posting things that others (not just me) have already posted? Aren't our posts worth reading?
No, you posted it in an embedded tweet which meant the video window was very small, so I posted a direct YouTube link that meant people could watch it on a larger scale, or even knock it up to full screen.
This has been mentioned to DTLW before. However, I think we should cut Connor some slack as he is extremely willing to do the leg work all the time, not just occasionally, and in his enthusiasm to bring us news and events he sometimes doesn't realise that they have been brought earlier, but perhaps a little buried within other threads. I'm sure he doesn't mean to run roughshod.
It was good hear the professionals confirming what we all suspected that players are generally speaking only interested in the cash and RK attitude towards the greed & lack of professional advise from agents couldn't be masked
I just assume he doesn't bother to read the other posts. It can be a bit irritating when you've gone to the bother of posting something just for it to be posted again. A quick glance at the threads would avoid this. I think lots of people contribute to the Saints news on the forum so it would save him some time.
Yep. You posted just as I was editing my message. Whiteley Saint makes a good point, but I do understand you do your best to bring the news, and I can understand if you miss the odd informative post from other members. Goodness knows I know about scanning threads.
And I was bloody glad you did,up here in Hereford I enjoyed that. wish you'd stop posting blank screens though (tweets I suppose)
I think that 90 minutes would have been better, but it would have been better still if those present had been a bit snappier getting to their question, rather than making a 2 minute statement followed by a question .
