Agree that Milka is nice but it's noticeably different to Dairy Milk. Seems like some products are much harder to imitate whereas others, such as the Mars/Twix/Snickers imitations at any supermarket taste just the same as the real thing.

I always wore Wranglers until a few years ago, decent fit and overall quality for a middle priced pair of jeans but now they are the same as all the other cheap tat. And as you like the old D M boots, they were a favorite of mine but the last pair I bought for 60 quidish didn't seem to last as long as those bought years ago and on top of that the last time I was back home i saw that the are now about 100 quid a pair.

Hershey's have now banned the sale of CDM here in the US. The bastards know they can't compete.

I have a polaroid TV now and although it's pretty good and only a year old my old LG was amazing and I do miss it. I think when it comes to TV's I just steer away from Smart TV's and go for LG as you can pick them up for a reasonable cost and they're genuinely really good quality. I had to leave mine at my old house as I've moved into my partners and there wasn't the room for the bigger TV :/

I got an open box deal on a Panasonic from richer sounds, and it's excellent. The frame is a better finish of brushed alloy than the similarly priced LG and Samsungs I saw, and everything works as it should. We had a Sony previously which similarly has proved excellent. Picture quality on LCD/LED screens is patchy on some, so be satisfied that you like what you see before paying.

Most of the stuff I've tried from Aldi has been good, and I can recommend their instant coffee. Must be good cos it always disappeared quickly when I took it into work.

I've switched from shopping at asda/Tesco and Iceland to shopping primarily at aldi and most of the stuff is excellent and far cheaper than the equivalent branded products. That and a monthly shop now only costs between £60-£80 as opposed to the £120+ I was previously paying

Best pair I ever had was Lee Riders. 63 shillings in old money when Levis were 52s 6d. Lasted years, only stopped wearing them when a few years of beer consumption had expanded the waistline.
Used to work in a shipping office and we did the customs work for a company importing Wranglers, these ones were made in .Belgium. The difference between the cost per unit nod the shop price was astounding.Always found Wranglers fitted me better than Levis but Levi jackets were better than Wrangler ones.

There ground coffe for coffee machines is pretty good. I grind beans for my machine but the Aldi Colombian ready ground is nearly as good and a lot less expensive.

Must be a woman thing. My wife reckons there isn't much difference between HD and SD but there is to me. And my vision in one eye is not so great following a mini stroke last year. When I go to my son's his partner often has it on SD and she is another who reckons there is no difference.
Got a Panasonic plasma and prefer that to LCD or LED. To me it has a more natural looking picture. Others prefer the more vibrant picture of an LCD or LED. All down to personal preference. I have found Panasonics preferable to .Samsung or LG sets, though I have had both Samsung and LG computer screens which were excellent. The same manufacturer probably makes screens a lot use who then put their own bits and pieces in and their own surround. Bit like a few years ago, pre digital music, when only a couple of British companies made the woofers, tweeters etc and dozens of companies tweaked them and put them in their own cabinets. . I have a Samsung LCD in another room but much prefer the plasma.

I know. Panasonic have stopped making them already. Samungs plasma don't compare. When mine goes, which I hope is not for a long time, will. hope there are still, some, somewhere. If not will. Have to switch. Don't like these 4K TVs. Apart from the fact there isn't much content on them , to me at least, though maybe not for others, they are too sharp and vibrant and that results in what initially looks impressive becoming unnatural looking.

I got a pair of french connection jeans from tk max, excellent quality and the best I'd ever worn.

Shame I shat myself a few weeks ago and had to throw them away.

    Lol

You're right Castro, not for me, our LG 4K Smart TV gives a fantastic picture, especially for sporting events and wildlife documentaries.

Each to their own I guess.

True. They are the future but eventually you have to ask how many pixels do we need as there is a limit to how many the eye can handle. I like watching wildlife documentaries as well. They show the difference to those who say they they can't tell between SD and HD. A measure of a food picture is how well it displays water and foliage.
Of course it would help if more programmes were of a standard we oldies recall from years gone by.
