5 wins and we can be fifth. I've seen it before. Today cannot be a fluke, you don't destroy other teams in a one off, but where the fukkity fuk did it come from?

It was a bit of a freak result, the game was ridiculously open, Norwich defended even worse than us. 6 goals is 6 goals though. We do look like we have players who can win games. As long as the others don't throw it away.

The best thing about yesterday was that it's great timing with the derby next weekend as long as we don't get cocky about it which I reckon we would have a bit of a tendency to do. There has got to be a big improvement in attitude if we are going to string some results together.

But other teams get to play and earn points too!

It was a great win and an exciting performance. BUT it is ONE game. At home, to Norwich (no disrespect meant).

I will enjoy this one, but still remain very cautious.

That said, it was a perfect boost before the derby match, which willbe vital to both teams.

    HOWAY THE LADS!

We have had an horrific fixture list. So far I'd say 2 (maybe 3) games we've been favourites for. We a long way from being out of a relegation dogfight but I do believe (as I did before Saturday) that we will get up to around 10-12th in the next couple of months and hover around there for most of the season.

We've talked about investing in January and then next Summer and if we can get our defence sorted (and an emergency keeper!!) we will have the making of an actual premiership team. LB, CB and a bonus one or two others and I don't see how we'd be comparable to a bottom 3 side (Our midfield and strike force look pretty good and Mbemba and Jaanmat aren't crap).

I'll be the prophet of doom. If we defend like we did yesterday in the first half, we'll be in for a lot more pain against the better sides. I'm not on about the top 4 either.

We have a long way to go. I think we are an attacking force. The key is investing heavily now in the defence.

To play the way McLaren wants, you need some heft across the back four. Wiji/Sissoko aren't going to be able to cover and we don't have a top drawer DM helping out either. Dummett's going to get the chance over the next two months but we need what we've always needed - a CB of ability and experience, and a LB.

That horrible feeling of resigning yourself to certain relegation. Instead replacing it with minor hope. Don't worry the lads will soon return things to normal.

    You talking Pennywell again Comm?
I hear the people of Beirut are holding a rock concert along the lines of Live Aid for the people of Pennywell.
    True story.
