I've never said Vardy isn't worth a go with England. Like Paul Warhurst he deserves a chance based on the number of goals he's scoring now. Like Paul Warhurst I doubt he'll maintain his goal scoring record and he'll do next to nothing with England even against the crappier teams.
Sorry i meant the way hes come up late from non-league all the way to England, not his stats. You'll often find Wrighty on 606 discussing the similarities between them in regards their careers and is often speaking highly of him. In our current situation we don't need to sell him, hes still got 2 1/2 years on his contract, which is why he won't be cheap for anyone wanting to buy him, so £30m is more realistic because clubs will haveto pay over the odds for him. He deserves a chance at England but his game is alot different at Leicester to the way England play, with the mentality and formation, so i'd rather he didn't play for them at all rather than him get slated for being poor out of position. I kind of agree with the caller at 16minutes in regards to his England position http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b06j0br2 play him central or don't play him at all.
from a comparison to Ian Wright to a converted centre-half ... have a word with yourself ... Vardy may not maintain the current level of scoring but I'll back him to get twenty across all competitions ... provided we don't start playing him at centre half when our proper strikers are fit In fact I suspect he will score more goals domestically than Rooney, Sturridge or Wellbeck this season ...
Brave statement given that 2 of them are made of glass and never fit, but no chance he'll end the season with more than Rooney. You're pissed mate.
Follow the link astro provided but don't make it a bet involving one of our strikers as you won't get any takers
... and there was me thinking they were England's best .. OK lets throw Harry Kane and Theo Walcott in there as well ... that just about covers it doesn't it?
