Before i start, i want to say R.I.P Howard Kendall who died on Saturday, at the age of 69, my condolences go to his family and friends at this difficult time. Right, onto saturday's game, It was one of the best performances under LVG in my opinion, the passing was quick, we didn't take 1-2 touches like we do when we're on the ball, i must say the team as a whole were great on saturday but i must give a special mention to Phil Jones and Chris Smalling, They were Brillaint on Saturday, especially Smalling, who dealt with Lukaku very well, we must play the same team from now on, i don't want LVG to tinker with the team, its fine as it is.
LvG got his tactics spot on. When we had the ball you didn't press high, you dropped off into position and had a set back 4 and a midfield 5. So we couldn't draw you out and create space in the attacking third with patient possession football. You then picked us off on the counter and via a set piece. It didn't help that Howard was at his ****ing star jumping, diving out the way worst like. but still you were good value for the win. No arguments from me.
Not talking about the big Liverpool Team, the smaller one, I think they are called Liverpool FC, did we win?
