My B/S uncle persistently informed us that Gordon Lee would knock Liverpool off their perch in the 70's. Thus my deluded uncle = you ALL said Gordon Lee would win the league more times than Paisley. You can see where this is going.
Kloppo will surely see we need a genuine, quality left-back a.s.a.p......................................agree on Sakho for captain
I'd rather develop Moreno, think he's a cracking little player personally with plenty of ability but still a bit raw, he'll do well under Klopp I'm sure. Get Sakho as captain, build the defence around him, our defense isn't as back as made out but clearly the RCB slot is a big weakness, I'm happy enough with Clyne, Sakho and Moreno.. Mignolet had a decent game too but not entirely convinced. Midfield is our weakest area, Henderson and Can are OK at the moment, neither of them special (both have the ability to be and both by no means are bad), Lucas has done very well of late and thought he was our MOTM yesterday but in the long run I think we should upgrade, William Carvalho would be my ideal replacement. Forwards are decent just unreliable, Get Firmino and Coutinho in behind a fit Sturridge and we're laughing.. Just easier said than done. Overall I think Klopp has plenty to work with and will be encouraged by our pressing yesterday, we still don't look like a team on the ball, though.
Lucas is a strange one - seen a lot of people praising him but I didn't think he was all that great to be honest. Looks so slow and immobile which wont work in a Klopp system. And the manager was annoyed a few times when Lucas held onto the ball for too long. I like Moreno and thought he defended well yesterday - he was shaky on the ball but overall, it was a good performance and he's been very good this season. I'm positive he will improve further under Klopp and the signs were evident yesterday - both full backs were pretty much stuck in our half as Klopp wants to establish a solid back line and shape. Positive signs.
Excuse me? I really bloody hope he doesn't! Players should be judged on the games they have played for us and how they've done in training. No one should be judged on performances 2 years ago as there is no guarantee that they'll reciprocate that form. I I guess you think that Firmino should be playing ahead of vardy if they were in the same team because Firmino has more goals over the past 2 years despite vardy getting 9 so far this season?
At the back Sakho should be starting every game from now on. He needs a decent CB to form a solid, long term partnership with in the middle, Lovren or Skrtel won't be that man so we need to go shopping again in that area. All the best teams have that CB partnership ... look at how solid Chavs were for a while and how it's gone to **** now their CB pairing isn't working. Clyne is great on the right, super tidy and ****ing strong player. Moreno is a decent option but I have questions around him, if Klopp and co can make him better defensively quite quickly and make him think more intelligently about the game and his play guess we can stick with him as he offers loads of pace and commitment.
The point I'm making is that Klopp will judge Firmino based on what he has seen of him which was predominantly in the Bundesliga. How can he judge him from his time at LFC?
And using Jamie Vardy as an example - I bet you would be willing to spend £20m because he has scored 9 goals. This seasons Harry Kane potentially.
Klopp may well make Moreno into a better defender/footballer, but I think we need a left back of Clyne's quality right now (well,January) Another question is what would we do if Moreno was injured and out for a while?
He should be judged on training and work his way into the team from putting in a shift and making an impact from the bench. No one walks into the team on past reputation.
Firmino played in a number 10 role behind a striker at Hoffenheim and excelled - exactly the position he's not played in so far for us. You can't shove a central forward out wide and then write him off as being not good enough because of it. That's Rodger's logic and it's bad. I fully expect Klopp to give him a chance in the team when he's ready. Klopp's system of two narrow forwards behind a striker suits both Coutinho and Firmino and if they're behind Sturridge, they'll flourish. I'm not saying we should start Firmino right away, I agree he's got to work his way into the team, but no one should be writing him off yet because Klopp certainly won't be.
I know what you mean - but what I'm saying is, both Firmino and Lallana could both work equally hard in training but no doubt Klopp will look at who is better and has more potential, and given neither have played that long for LFC, he will look at prior performances.
I see Kloppo has caused hysteria in Asia too.. Philippines battered as Typhoon Kloppo barrels in http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-34558887

From what I've seen there's no argument about Lucas, Firmino, Lallana or anyone else as we're going to need them all. There's no way that we can play our so called best 11 week after week at that kind of pace we will have to rotate and use the squad. There's room for them all here.
