In 5th, 6th, 7th etc etc. Until one of our teams break into and stay in the top 4 it matters little my friend. Unless of course your whole aim of the season is to finish above Liverpool?
The game has changed over the last years. The fact is that neither of us has the resources to compete consistently with the big money clubs like City and Chavski. Maybe for the odd season, but consistently, no!
Everyone in football is deluded. Look at the supposedly 'best manger in the PL' - Deluded to the ****ing core mate
What would worry me more is the current, seemingly growing gulf in class between the so called Premiership elite and Europe's best. We're just not at the races anymore when it comes to competing in Europe.
Yet everyone in England is so deluded they think the PL is the best league Delusion by the bucket load!!!
Judging neither of us are at the top level I don't see a reason to be concerned. United, Chelsea,City and Arsenal not doing well. Who cares? Two are owned by an American, one by a Russian gangster and one is owned by a Sheik. None are managed by an Englishman and there are about 10 Englishman combined in the teams. Hopefully we (Liverpool) can get back in - then I'll start caring. I wish Spurs well in Europa too as you lot tend to put out a few Englishman. Those teams never wish us, or you, well. So why care?
Agreed, to an extent. But, it's still troubling how the European game seems to have moved on and we haven't.
Yeah we're not dominating like we were which is true. The German league is now well established as well as the dominant two in Spain. I see it as an opportunity if we can get back in in the next few years.
Did you just explain the meaning of football? Mousers thinking they deserve to be where they 'belong' and any other team who dares challenge that are 'pretenders', 'deluded' etc etc.
You have hit the nail on the head there. The dippers reacted with rage and petulance ( banning me from their board ) for simply pointing out that the Saints have closed what was once a vast gap between the sides, despite Liverpool's relentless pillaging of Saint's X1. They refuse to believe Saints and Pool are more or less on par in footballing terms these days ( which we are seeing again this season ) and insist that they will soon soar back to their 'rightful place' among the big boys, a few are still dining out on the 2013/2014 season and reckon they are still there.
