...Two strikers scoring in the same game. First time that's happened for us in a while. 4 assists from Sissoko. 4 goals from Gini.

**** defending in the first half, but much tighter in the second!

We looked way more comfortable with Anita and Haidara on the pitch, rather than Tiote and Dummett.

LETS NOT MAKE THIS A ONE OFF, LETS START NOW!

    Ratings -

Elliot - 5 - Couldn't have done anything about the goals. Not bad.

Janmaat - 6 - Not good enough defensively in first half. Much better in second, good assist.

    Mbemba - 7 - Good game mostly.

Colo - 6 - NOT A ****ING CAPTAIN. Better second half performance though.

Dummett - 3 - I know Haidara isn't that good, but Dummett is ****ing ****. Don't play him again.

Haidara - 7 - Not a spectacular display, but very full on and fierce. Helped seal the 3 pts second half.

Wijnaldum - 10 - What a beast!! 14.5 million well worth it. 6 goals and 2 assists so far for him so far this season!

Tiote - 4 - Caught on the ball too often, but hasn't played a lot recently.

Colback - 7 - Good defensive work and calm on the ball.

Anita - 7 - So glad when he came on. He tracked some good runs today.

Sissoko - 9 - BEAST! NOW ****ING PLAY LIKE THAT MORE OFTEN YOU LAZY C*NT.

Perez - 8 - Great runs and skill. Good goal.

Mitrovic - 8 - Hard working, fantastic goal. So good to have a REAL target man.

McClaren - 7 - **** decision putting dummett in the line up. Not closing down well first half. But a good half time team talk obvious, and good subs.

    MOTM - GINI!

Its been too long since I have felt true happiness watching a game. I would quite happily swallow McClaren's vile load right now.

Great result, some fantastic performances, and ordinarily I'd be warning of the fact it doesn't matter if we lose the next match... But let's enjoy it while we can!

Dummett far better than Haidara, but lets be honest neither is good enough. Haidara was ****ing awful. He skewed the ball out of play again, he gave away stupid free kicks and is just ****ing stupid. What was all that trying to tackle the Norwich player from the wrong side? Just moronic. He did make one good block. Both ****e but rather Dummett on todays showing. There is no argument unless you have a mouses brain - we need a left back.

Janmaat was good going forward but turd at the back. Most of the problems came from his side. Worrying how bad we are defensively. If the powers that be cant see fit to get 3 new defenders then I'm lost.

Have to say though, Sissoko and Gini were actually the architects of the goals against through pure laziness. Just couldn't be arsed to track back. Sissoko did it quite a few times.

Going forward we were great. Perez was actually poor first half despite his goal. Nothing came off.2nd half much better. Mitro is a great presence to have and his goal was excellent. Gini and Sissoko were outstanding going forward - unplayable. End of the day as much as Sissoko frustrates with his stupidity/laziness he set up 4 goals. Gini is some player.

Tiote. WTF has happened? He is finished, he can't even run. Horrible to watch. Colback had a very good game again and Anita was tidy. Mbemba was excellent and Colo did ok.

    Elliot 6 Janmaat 5 Mbemba 8 Colo 7 Dummett 6 Tiote 1 Colback 7 Sissoko 8 Gini 9 Mitro 8 Perez 7 Anita 7 Haidara 5 Cisse 5

Just get some defenders and sort out the tracking back, we have the weaponary

What a load of ****e! Haidara was far better in all aspects other than heading than Dummett today. As soon as Haidara came on Redmond did nothing! Yes he skewed a cross down the line. He only gave away stupid free kicks was because the referee was harsh on some of his tackles!

Only agree on the fact we need a new starting LB with Haidara as back up! Dummett was almost as slow as Tiote!

Absolute horse ****. He was awful. He did absolutely **** all except one block. Dummett was poor. Haidara was just lucky that our midfield had took control of the game. He is garbage. Not good enough to be back up in the blue square - he is that bad. Neither he nor Dummett belongs anywhere near a PL team - only a blind semi ******ed gargoyle would think otherwise.

Harsh on Haidara, fair on Dummett! Haidara put in some strong tackles which we needed and looked more like he could link up with the midfielders - he is a young lad and needs encouragement. I see you didn't mention Mbemba's silly run and loss of possession? I would put that down to inexperience and I would also do the same with Haidara!

Look you are wrong. You are clinging to your wrong earlier assertion he is good enough like a mackem to his last cheesy chip. Do not insult Mbemba by comparing the two. You've named one occasion from a 20 yr old who has been one of our best players. Haidara is **** every game. He skews the ball out of play like a Sunday leaguer every week. Move on. He doesn't need encouragement, he needs to be serving in McDees

An excellent performance and finally, finally, Steve is doing what he did at Derby rather than just watching MOTD and thinking "ooh, that looks like a good formation, let's try it". This is the McLaren I prayed and hoped we took the gamble on. The narrow 4-4-2, or 4-2-2-2, is a brilliant tactic, full of excitement and will guarantee goals in both for and against. People here berating Dummett/Haidara/Janmaat, but this is what will happen when you score 6 for fux sake! Watch the highlights of Man U's 3-0 win and you will watch Martial doing a brilliant job tracking back; we can't ask Gini to score 4, but make sure hes at left back all day.

There's simply no negatives - this is Toon football, through and through. Clinical, executioner finishing, ominous breaks, hard hitting striker lurking up top, talented maestro behind him, powerhouses in midfield and goals - for Pedro see Perez, Mitro/Shearer, Lee/Wijnaldum, Speed/Sissoko. It's taken me 3 hours to wipe the egg from me face, but that was masterful. Apart from Tiote.....

Brilliant going forward, unfortunately need to improve at the back, can see players like Lens and Fletcher next week exploiting the weaknesses we have like Redmond and the number 9 did at times for Norwich. That said brilliant going forward Perez and Mitrovic seem to link up well, that's before I mention how brilliant Wijnaldum was and how good Sissoko was going forward.

All we need is a derby win and we can start looking up the table, however im concerned about the new players that haven't experienced a derby yet.

They'll have players like Lens and M'Vila who haven't experienced the Derby game. More worried about how much Allardyce will have them fired up for the game.

Have to agree with the sissoko point as a tricky one beastly going forward with 4 assists but both Norwich goals came from a cross from their left back because sissoko couldn't be bothered to track back. That's criminal if that doesn't get addressed and we don't find the target like we did today we will drop points.
I love mitrovic's goal so sheareresque that it sent me back 10 years. It's a nice feeling and a top forwards goal.
