Fair I guess it is too OTT to say it is down to him but he should be doing better. Agreed there is a lot to happen between the mistake and the goal.

The kick that led to a goal. God forbid as a Saints fan I get upset about conceding a bad goal. If I'm allowed to be elated at winning at Stamford Bridge then I can be peeved when we throw away a solid 2 goal lead.

If Gazzaniga played like Davis did today, he would get slaughtered here.

I've not seen the game, but this reads like the most sensible post of the lot.

That's like me saying I've not seen this film but I agree with this 5 star review.

Just back....hope I don't have to suffer a Saints match like that again. We were lucky to escape with a draw...if Leicester were a better side we'd have been swamped. I think the people around me weren't giving Leicester enough credit though...we didn't deliberately play badly and be unable to string passes together...the opposition didn't let us. Ranieri had our number....they pressed and pressed so that we had no one to pass to and then we panicked and didn't keep the ball when we could have done. We were wrong footed and kept there even when we went two up. In the end we got a point which can often be very important at the season's end.

Not at all. I've seen things like this all before. You yourself have blamed one player entirely for a goal. Have a think about that. It's daft. If you hadn't said that you may have one the most sensible post prize. Never mind. Try again next week.

That post I replied to was level headed and didn't have any extreme points in it. So to me it seemed the most sensible.

Feel free to have your own most Sensible plost. That one is mine :)

FLT - posted earlier - watched the game and Foxes deserved the point. Could have been down 0-2 after 10 minutes, slowly got into the game and deserved the 2-0 at half time. All went 'pear-shaped' in the second half - it was obvious that they would go for us after the break and we failed to stifle them. I think that VW should have been substituted at half time - yellow card and seemed picked up an injury just before half time and looked uncomfortable in the second half (no blame game here - just a comment). Brought on Yoshida and Clasie - former for Cedric who picked up bad head injury in first half, but Clasie still learning the pace of the EPL and coming back from injury; given that VW had problems I am not sure what Clasie was to provide in that situation - I think RK should have brought on Romeu for VW at half time and was surprised RayRod came on at 2-1 when I felt we should be locking down the game. Again, I felt we were crying out for more defensive qualities - if only to afford a counter attack goal.

We put in, at best, an average performance although I felt at 2-0 we should have soaked up the pressure with far better ball-retention and eased the win over the line. Tactically, we could have done much better.

Peace, man. You have every right to be upset at that goal. I am not disagreeing in the slightest that it was a bad kick, and SKD-- while I love him and he always gives his all-- is not that good at this stage of his career.

But Davis being bad does not make Gazzaniga good. I think we would have done worse with Gazzaniga, because quite honestly I think Gazzaniga blows. So it was less a defense of Davis's play then a criticism of Gazzaniga.

Of course Gazzaniga is young and could improve. Maybe he already has. I would love to be wrong. I root for all Saints to do well, and Gazzaniga seems like a good guy. But from what I have seen I would still play SKD over him.

I'm not going to pick out any particular player for criticism...I think we struggled as a team. Victor having to treat a tightrope didn't help and he and Cedric were injured, but that wouldn't have been a disaster on another day. We weren't allowed to play in our usual style and were unable to get a grip.

I said the same about Wanyama to my mate. Once he got clattered he went out the game.

I then said I was probably a bit OTT on that point but it's hardly like I was miles off. He was the primary player at fault. All I'm asking for is a keeper to take a goal kick decently. He did it a few times not just for the goal. Somebody said that the defence should be expecting it with his poor kicking ability but I'm sorry maybe I'm crazy but I shouldn't be anticipating my keeper to make poor passes every game. Especially Davis whose been doing it for years. Had this been a one off of course I just be saying it was unlucky and everyone makes mistakes and all that jazz but he did it all match.

I was in the Chapel, so if he was at fault for either goal, it didn't look that way but I was a long way from the action. He was pulled out of position a lot in the 2nd half though because he had to keep bailing Bertrand out.

I felt he bossed the box and got Kelvin out of trouble a few times. Looked calm and in control, especially in the first half, and won everything in the air. I'd give him an 8, but maybe my perception will change after I've seen motd. If I watch it, that is.

Beefy - also starting to feel that ref's are targeting VW. Two fouls and booked on the second - thought that a little harsh. I appreciate he is always in the thick of things, but seems an 'easy yellow' at present for the ref's.
