That's it, the football side dictates the the building of the brand. Events and Hospitality will be such tiny part of our turnover. The risk in investing so little this summer could scupper all but tiny revenue streams. He's clearly a gambling man.
Was class last year, he cant be a world beater every week. We have a habit of turning good into utter dog ****e.
Man City got rid for a reason - we know why - unfortunately goalkeepers need to be virtually error free - That's 2 poor errors in 2 games - mind his poor distribution is poor every game
Goalkeepers at the bottom of the table are always going to be under pressure and having to work harder and make more saves than those at the top. Law of averages means they'll make more mistakes. And they'll always hurt us more than the top 3-4 goalies making the same mistakes. Their strikers keep them out of the headlines.
He is normally busier n 1 game for us then Hart is in 10. We just make players ****E That being said NO disguising 2 BIG point costing blunders.
Man City didn't get rid. Pants walked for first team football. There's a world of difference. He's a very very good keeper, easily Prem standard imo, but he does have his weakness, like near post covering, decision making on crossing and distribution. We've got a lad coming though who's all round solid. The time will come when the lad will break the team.
I agree but these are compounded by deplorable distribution - however we play - I am not suggesting he is a bad keeper just not good enough for my team - we have regularly had good keepers from Monty, to Mignolet - just my opinion but think he needs resting - Mannone saved us under Poyet and he would have been dropped for messing up like Pants - if we can't get Pickford back then play Mannone - over to Sam now
We can't afford to play a keeper who costs us games - I would have Mannone back at the moment - Pickford later - but not our decision - SA will sort it - -I hope
I don't think he'll go like. Not until he's established and a big club comes sniffing long way into the future. He's Sunderland fanatical.
It was a bad decision to try and catch but he didn't cost the game imo. The ref did on the blatant foul which occurred as Pants was collecting. Vito has cost us a goal virtually every time he's played in the last 12 month
I sincerely hope you are right because this lad has plenty of potential. He wouldn't be the first footballer to be lured away by the promise of bright lights and a wad of money.
Pants is a very good keeper, people have short memories, no mistake last season, no Pants, no lions on the sleeves. We all hope Pickford is number 1 for years to come but right now Cos is more than good enough.
No doubt the goal today is down to Pants; he spilled it, it hit JOS on the back and rolled down his leg just in the right place for the scorer not alot anyoine could do following the original mistake. Sh=t happens.
Thats a problemay be beyond Big Sam - deplorable referees against Sunderland - a real bug bear of mine - even though it sounds a wimpish wine - so bottle of plonk all round --not
Its a regular visitor to our team - more to do with poor decision making and missed chances - puts us under pressure frequently - hence ...... - Big Sam to sort hopefully - hope by Sunday to bring much needed to the SOL
But Its this season now - mistakes costing us valuable points - on distribution alone he not up to the team retaining posession - all hard work on the pitch is negated by pants distribution - puts us back under pressure - we are not good enough to allow this to happen at the moment - bad things seem to happen to bottom teams - thus change is needed imo
Do very good keepers spill the ball like he has done in last 2 matches - I just don't think we can afford to take this hit - esp as we are not scoring - as I've said I don't think he's a poor keeper just a liability at the moment
