Liverpool Ows Says theyve sold out!
Dont know how many tickets they got probably the full north stand?
Should be a decent atmosphere if we have a few turnout?

There must be hell of a lot of Liverpool fans in Hull, it must be nice for them to see their idols for the first time, after supporting them for so many years.

The price is good and it'll attract their fans. They'll have a few from East Yorkshire trying to get in and hopefully the majority of them will be in that stand and not in any of ours.

liverpool will sell out anywhere, they have fans in every corner of the globe, would say it makes for an atmosphere, but there will have to be some home fans in there for that to happen <laugh>

, i couldnt believe the shocking turn out for deano the other year, after what hes done, i thought youd struggle for a ticket, and it was less then half full..so i wouldnt be surprised if there was less then 10,000 city fans..maybe 10k altogether

Half of the people on here and on other city sites are saying they don't care too much about it, so I reckon the crowd will be made up of a fair few fake bin dippers in the home ends. 10K sounds about right.

I felt ashamed that so many fans from Aberdeen had turned up yet for Deano, who not a year earlier had took us up to the Premier League and the ground was half full.

I doubt thats right, as me a loyal fan along with many other loyal fans that i am going with are coming along to support our team and see how we are shaping up for the season. I stand by the true fans go to pre-season games, no mattter how bad they are.

I still remember the drubbing at Crewe, i still remember looking at Mendy that day and saying he had to improve...... ye....

I'm just saying there seems to be alot of people that aren't bothered about the game. I'm not questioning anybodys loyalty.

I'm off to the match and and all by the way.

Last one I went to was the year we had Spurs and Man City at home. It was that bad that I can't remember which game I saw and which one I was working for, and I learnt absolutely nothing about the team from being there. I decided then I wasn't going to waste my money on friendlies again.

The last friendly I remember was the Leeds one when Wilcox* had to be subbed after about 20 minutes to stop him being sent off with Elliott making him look like a Sunday League player. You could tell from the way the Leeds players were acting and throwing strops about everything, and the look of dejection on their face at the end that they'd been really up for it and that was the best they could manage so it was no surprise when they got relegated that season.

*When I started the sentence I was sure it was him, by the time I finished writing the post I was doubting it and thinking it must have been someone else.

Oh I've just remembered, I went to the Hearts away game as well, but that was more on the grounds that having made 500+ mile round trips I wasn't going to miss a game taking place less than 20 miles away from me.

It was Wilcox although City made them all look like a bunch of wallies that day.

As for the Spurs game, wasn't it our centenary match? I actually thought Aaron Wilbraham looked a good signing. How naive :).

I very rarely go to friendlies, but went to the Deano one a couple years ago and was disappointed by the turn out from the Home fans. Was fun day out though and got to chat to some Aberdeen supporters on the train up to Hull. Will be there Saturday as I didn't want to miss out on any opportunity to see City play

The game is also being shown on LFC TV which is free to watch if you have Sky (might have to have the sports package, i'm not sure).

I'm still going to the game myself but I can see some people thinking they'd rather just watch at home as it's only a friendly.

Maybe City left the rest of the Liverpool end (north stand) to be for pay on the day fans. They have there big 3 new signings Adam Downing and Henderson making there first UK apperances as well. Would not surprise me to see the North End Full to capacity (5000).

FOR INFO......The Liverpool game is being Broadcast LIVE on BBC Radio Humberside BUT ONLY ON AM 1485 and i think there website will also do it. Not sure about DAB radio.

Cannot understand why they didnt give Lpool the whole end. I mean, its not as we are gonna fill the rest of the stadium.
