    If he wasn't full of regret he'd say something like "I made him captain because he..."

    Rooney hasn't scored in his last 17 away games apparently. 1 assist in that time. Great value for money considering he's paid 300k a week <laugh>

    You know I'm not a wum, Diego <whistle> but I do think it has been a mistake to make Rooney captain of Man U, and England even more so.
    His form has been iffy for a while now, but it's really difficult to drop the skipper without undermining him.
    More generally, I don't think he has the right temperament for the job.
