He's already spoken of his fond memories of watching Peter Osgood playing for Chelsea as a kid.

According to wiki, Osgood was playing for Chelsea in the late 60's/early 70's. That's gotta make HIAG 50+. I dunno why he's so ashamed of it. 50 is the new 40 HIAG. Be proud dude.

Behaving the way he does as a middle aged man is pretty cringey. Especially those "Rock God" claims. I bet he looks like a poor man's Ronnie Wood.

I almost feel sorry for the poor old fella.

Fantastic managers change the way the game is played. Rafa is what's known as a journey man.

Try again crack head. In 67 we entered as Champions. In 99 we were Champions of England when the final was played, we entered as champions and were champions of england in 08 final.

We don't do what the smaller English clubs do, when we win, we do it properly.

We all can. 5th place and a forcing of the rule change as nobody had ever envisaged a team would be so poor and actually win it.

It was a bad day for football.

Since then you guys have built a myth around one of the most average managers around.

When we won it in 67 and 99 we made history, achieved something real. Something no other club in this land has ever done nor will they every repeat the first.

And Rafa is and was terrible. Can't wait for him to return.

This is the Rafa the world sees. Inter fans despise him. Effigees were burned (maybe a nod to his Liverpool past, you know how they like a good ol' burning) in the stands, when anyone actually turned up.

Chelsea fans despises him before his first day, Real fans see him as one of their own but look how they treat their superstars, who have achieved something and brought success to the club. Raul, casillas. Treated like dirt.

Only one group of fans rate him. And that's based on a massive fluke, with another mans team. We won't go into Rafa's transfer policy, we haven't got enough time. To sum it up.

    Spanish and ****? Buy him
Italian, expensive and rubbish? We'll have him.

His legacy lives on. To this day Liverpool employ the same transfer policy.

No it wasn't. The yank owners gave you an excuse and a reason to push Rafa, who by the end literally had you as low as you've ever been, to legend status.

The man was backed by your Yank owners massively. All your managers are so blaming the owners doesn't wash. Yes, they weren't great and getting rid was probably for the best but to blame them for the 100s of millions wasted under Rafa, or blame the current owners for the half a billion wasted under various managers is just wrong.

Rafa played his part and it was a big one. He thought he was untouchable. So did the fans. In reality Rafa had long since crumbled and was a broken man.

That's a U turn from previous posts, go back and see my response to you earlier. The owners were a big part in Rafa going and a big part in the decline in our club, I know full well that Rafa himself also had a part in his own demise and mentioned it earlier.

Point being as I mentioned earlier, some Liverpool fans may well overrate him but there are loads of you Utd fans who underrate him. Ignoring posts where someone gives a credible answer to counter your arguments seems to be a habit of yours.

No gonzo the guy had a chip on his shoulder and did everything possible to come across as a right bellend. While you're successful, that can be mitigated. But once you resemble nothing more than a mid-table journeyman, any criticism of being a complete self-important ar5e is fully justified.

We could list Jose's successes but look at how he comes across to all of us now that he's being properly tested and getting found out. No different to Rafa and Rafa did little as a manager by comparison.

The thing is, Rafa may have been hated by United fans but he could've been respected. The fact he isnt (and not just by United fans but many others) is a poor indictment of him as a man and a manager. I try and be respectful to a great club that I still tipped my hat to in the 80's. I can have a great admiration for men like Paisley and even Shankly despite the rivalry. But Rafa is a grade A pr1ck mate and achieved little for the fawning he gets from most Livpl fans. And I'm pretty sure the reason you lot love him so much is largely the same reason United fans hate him. Less to do with what he did on the pitch and more to do with the bollox he spouted off it.

You have your 2, but any club that wins the CL is making history and achieving something real. When we won it in 77, 78 that's right retained it then in 81, 84 and 2005 of course we were also making history. We've also been runners up twice.

I know he could be stubborn, I haven't said otherwise. I've even mentioned at least twice that he was part of his own demise, but his record with us is good and saying otherwise is silly.

2 of those were crap <ok>

The other was a GK who wasn't great but decent. We have a great keeper, we've had a few over the years, Reina was decent.

Torres had a few good years as a pro, the rest of his career has been a failure. He was very good for you guys though.

Alosno is the only truly top player you listed.
