I've also heard those rumours. More than happy to see the back of him tbh, especially if there'll be some sort of player + cash for Higuain or Insigne. Perhaps Dries Mertens will come the other way to maintain or Belgian quota?

I've never understood why that sort of thing is permitted though. By all accounts, the purpose of having a transfer window is

    A) An act of benevolence, a way of giving otherwise hopeless journalists something to write about for 6 months at a time.

    B) To avoid players being constantly unsettled throughout the season - which this sort of thing kind of contradicts. Didn't Chelsea 'agree terms' with Hazard on the sly in March or something? No idea how that's fair.

If Mason and or Bentaleb were available I would be more confident but to have both of them and Dier and Son out leaves us very short of players who will close down and harass Liverpool players and who move the ball quickly.
Ali played well further back a few games ago (was it v city?) but Dembele slows play down and invites pressure on us.
    Would like to see
    Lloris,
walker, vertongen, toby a, rose (think we will need more going forward in this match than davies gives)
Alli (in front of back 4)
Chadli on one side eriksen and lamela in the middle Njie on the other
    Kane

Well that's the end of that then. Pack it all up lads, might as well spend the time with the kids. Revised prediction:

Tottenham Hotmanager FC 0 - 6 Opponents of Tottenham Hotmanager FC

Cain't understand why Sanchez hasn't died a thousand deaths by now, though.

    Walker Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose
    Alli Davies
    Lamela Chadli Eriksen
    Kane

M.P. Might consider putting Alderweireld in Dier's position and Wimmer alongside Vertonghen. I believe that Toby has played that position before for Ajax?

He certainly played central midfield a few times for Southampton towards the end of last season

The thing I like about the Poool in recent years is that performance against them
is of little consequence to the PL campaign. Win, lose or draw against them, we
are finishing in the top 4-6 and they are tending to be anywhere below us.

So I can enjoy der koming of Herr Klopp along with the rest of the PL watchers.

The Wilshere ones have been doing an excellent job. I think I need a knew one now though as the ankles on it are threadbare.

And so it came to pass that the Kloppites did invade the land of the Pochites. They were at once fallen upon and slain mercilessly by the Pochites king, whose name was Kane, who was also very able (sorry!)

Far better CB, but can hold his own in midfield.

Hard to tell how the game goes. From Liverpool's side we have so many would-be starters injured and the rest are fresh from injuries. You won't be seeing our strongest XI... But maybe that's ok for us as they'll be hungrier.

It's too soon for Klopp's tactics to be implemented. We'll basically be fielding a team playing Rodger's tactics. The main difference is this won't be a down-hearted crew. This will be a team motivated like it were a cup final. A new manager will do that.

Temporarily... Just a bit of a lark. A couple people changed theirs and it snowballed as a bit of a joke. Most people are planning to change back after 30 days.

Part of me wishes that Paul Stewart actually knows what a living legend he is on all Spurs match threads ever on 606.

I swear Davies played DM for a minute at some point. The problem with Alderweireld at DM is that leaves us with two left-footed CBs in Wimmer and Vertonghen. With Davies it's almost a 1 for 1 switch, since Rose started at LB last year. The other player I'd think about at DM is Lamela. We could start Clinton, Eriksen and Chadli farther forward. Lamela and Alli were terrific at harassing on the right and left against City. They might just be decent in midfield. All things considered, I'd go for Davies. I wouldn't want to break up the Belgians when they're playing well, and Lamela seems too big of a red card risk in the box. Bringing in Rose and maybe Clinton would give us some pace.

Liverpool does have a long injury list. It's funny how you never think other teams injuries are important, but your own missing players are crucial.
