Yes, he should put his money where his mouth is (or something). I have Sky and wouldn't mind having their very cheap and decent broadband too, another thing I curse KC for, but not PLT of course
I look at some of the numbers in the article and I am jealous. I currently - in Cambridge - get a max 2Mb/sec. According to the BT website they are "investigating" how to enable the exchange that I am on with fibre. I tried with Virgin and Sky as well but both of them said no.
There was an outbound campaign when I worked there last year from the Contact centre part with similar instances. If you receive a call from KC contact centres your best off ignoring it as it's a completely different part of KCOM and they know bugger all about the services or what's actually available. PLT do you still work for Group?
Are you talking about SKY? You can watch their after only part of the programme has downloaded. For BBC I use iplayer on Freeview.
I never bother downloading anything in HD from Sky, it takes forever before it's 'available to view' and SD is usually absolutely fine anyway.
So yeah something isn't working right. Speak to your ISP and they'll help you fix it and you'll get the same speeds as the neighbours. Might have to speak to someone in Bangalore but still.
Yes. From the connection in the road 3 seem to be on the same spur. When the internet connection went down all 3 were affected.Have contacted my broadband provider who agree the speed is very slow. To check, it they wanted £65 and if they found the problem was not theirs I would have to pay the cost.
I'd suggest changing the micro filer and plugging the router into the test socket and then checking your speeds. If they are still low after all that then just get the engineer out
