Possibly Ron, I'd had a few beers when I dreamt this up. Having said that though, there aren't that many G1s and I suspect everyone will have Faugheen in their list. For me he is the only CERTAIN grade 1 winner out there. I was reading they might be looking at a French campaign for Un De Sceaux <yikes>

I assume the graded bonus still applies to French races?!

    The Chuckles squad composes of:

    Annie Power
    Faugheen
    L’ami Serge
    Might Bite
    Miss Crick
    Peace And Co
    Red Hammer
    Top Notch
    Un de Sceaux
    Yanworth

If this was a ‘2 to follow’ my pair, incidentally, would be MIGHT BITE and RED HAMMER. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more...

Could have done max 2 horses from any given stable. 80% off all selections will be the same otherwise with Mullins machines dominating every posters list.

Edit: sorry I didn't state this earlier!

Just to bring the "ah but Mullins will win all the Grade 1s" discussion into perspective, here a list of all Grade 1 races in Britain (table 1) and Ireland (table 2). There really are a lot more than we think:

It's a bit of a pain with the competition starting before all the entries are in and recorded but I'll cope.

I was just posting the Grade 1s Woolly, it always amazes me how many there are. Here are links to the wiki sites showing all graded races in the UK and Ireland - plenty of bonus points up for grabs:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_British_National_Hunt_races
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Irish_National_Hunt_races

As far as I can see there are no Grade 1 handicaps, but a number of Grade 2 races are handicaps (e.g. the Old Roan Chase, Haldon Gold Cup). But perhaps the 2 best known handicaps in the racing calendar, the Hennessy and Grand National, are both Grade 3s. Prize money, of course, is much higher in those 2 - Wishfull Thinking collected 35 grand for winning the Grade 2 Haldon Gold cup whereas Many Clouds collected just shy of 100 grand for the Grade 3 Hennessy and a whopping 561 grand for the Grade 3 Grand National.
