Stop digging.
Because Bruce wanted to keep hold of him and also didn't feel any deal was worth the valuation, you prat. Stop digging.
Horse! And you are 'digging' your own grave. What is the valuation of a 'striker' who scores 4 in 25 in the EPL?
I'm the one digging? Who is the one who everyone is disagreeing with? He didn't want to let him go, so he wanted back the money we spent. Nothing wrong with that, because Abel is a good player who Bruce (and everyone else) clearly rates, and with good reason. You're the only ****er who thinks he's ****e. Stop digging. PS. Quick question - how many of those 25 PL games did he start, per chance? I assume you, all knowing Roo, will know, because you know everything and are never wrong!
OK then, but tell me one club that offered what we paid for him. ONE will do! What you are telling me there is that Bruce didn't think he was good enough to start
This is getting abit boring! He's playing great, he's got a great international record. Stop being miserable and trying to be a wind up merchant
If you actually read what I said earlier, you'd see that I stated that NOBODY offered what he felt was the correct valuation. Well, if you actually researched before going in like a headless chicken (nothing new for you), You'd know that the majority of his substitute appearances came in the second half of the season - after we had brought in N'Doye, and Bruce was switching every game between 4 different strikers. He was also dealing with personal issues and was getting used to a much different style and tempo of football than he was used to in Italy. Guess what - LOADS of players suffer from that. You really need to let go and accept that Abel is a good player and is having a superb season so far. I won't be surprised if you continue acting like a twat though. Stop digging.
Cue Roo accusing you of saying Suarez and Abel are as good as one another and completely missing the point.
Stats can say anything you want them to, Hernandez league record for us is 9 in 33, a third of those appearances were from the bench. He's scored 9 in 22 for Uruguay, he's obviously not **** and half of Serie A tried to sign him in the summer. He had problems adjusting to the game here in his first season, he hated the food, didn't speak English, he found the whole experience difficult, but he's self-evidently settling in now. Whether or not he'll be able to replicate his current form if we return to the Premier League, we'll only know if we get there, for now we should just be happy he's doing the business.
I'll go along with that and I sincerely hope he can keep his momentum up and keep banging the goals in. Returning to the Premier League I don't believe is an option for him as he is not up to that standard. I also do not believe that we will sell him for anywhere near the ten million we paid for him.
