Eh? It was nothing of the sort. I meant, and made the point in what i thought was a very clear manner, that it now appears that football's ruling bodies have been corrupt for decades and that is a desperately bad / sad situation. Isnt that a completely natural thing to feel? If you found out that your wife had been cheating on your for 20 years would you celebrate the discovery or be sad / mad that she'd done it?

If I'd known she'd been doing it for most of those of those twenty years, I'd certainly be celebrating when the bitch finally left.

Has Blatter been cheating on his wife for the last 20 odd years? I mustve missed that part. Or did he just preside over the most successful period in the history of football? Yeah fair point, it's probably the cheating on his wife & maybe a little bit of corruption....

And where did I say that this will mean an end to corruption amongst football's governing bodies in the future?

If your wife has been cheating for 20 years you could always pretend it didn't happen, call it something else, accuse other's of doing similar & carry on as normal. Something along the lines of what supporters of Italian football do when it's pointed out that Italian football is, or has been, corrupt.

Haha, genius. You know what they say about mimicking? Those that do it cant think for themselves.

    It was this part:

Go on then - off topic but enlighten me about the Italian corrupt parts that are worse than what happens in UK football. I'm really keen to learn more.

Never heard that before. I tend to call it taking the piss.

"May" & "will" have different meanings.

UK? Good change if direction. The UK don't have a football league.

Literally none of them are reported correctly. FACT.

Ive posted about Calciopoli many, many times. There was not one - NOT ONE - single accusation of match fixing in the entire investigation, never mind being found guilty of it. What they did do - as Ive said many, many times on here - was request that certain referees were not allocated to their respective matches. Nothing more. That happens in the UK very regularly, we just choose to accept it. FACT.

Catania were demoted for their president admitting that he considered match fixing. He didnt actually do it. A bit like getting tried for murder cos you once thought about killing Richard Hammond.

The match-fixing reports in other articles are mis-truths simply because footballers are not allowed to bet on ANY football matches, whether they are directly involved or not. if we had the same law here tens of thousands of footballers wouldve been arrested for betting on matches and it reported as match fixing. But we dont have that law cos we take it less seriously.

UK players are also accused of doping. Shock horror.

We could all ostrich our heads in the sand & pretend there's no corruption in football, like supporters of Italian football like to do, if it makes you feel better.

When have I said there is quotes "no corruption in football"? I said many times, quite clearly, that in Italy it is no worse than the UK. I did not say there was no corruption in football.

But other than that, good point well made.

The evidence handed over today to the ethics squad should well see the end of Blatter and Platini for good. Not to mention all others involved.

Last man standing now takes over FIFA. :emoticon-0102-bigsm<laugh>
