Good Morning Everyone, Who's fault is it the team are not performing? Is it Cellino, and his off the field antics? Is it the Manager. He picks the team, and the tactics? What about the players themselves. We've got some relatively big names in there, and its them that appear to get beaten week in, week out! What about the fans? If the fans don't believe in you, is it more difficult to turn a result? Obviously, you cannot completely blame one particular aspect outright but what are your thoughts? The match day thread will be up tomorrow. Who believes we can get something out of the game?
Good morning Elland, we all want to believe there is someone to blame and that there is a fix. Maybe we are just not good enough? Wood has never been prolific in previous seasons, we went into this one pinning our hopes on him being a wonder signing, now we just wonder where the goals are going to come from. A shame as Cellino must be wondering what he has to do, he did it his way and failed, he has done it the right way and it isn't working. I don't think a manager/coach change will make much difference. Catch 22 new coach in and straight away the press will focus on Cellino sacking another one. Maybe Cellino wants his court hearings out the way first so as not to give any further ammo to the FL by getting through another coach
For me it's down to Rosler as his tactics dictate the number of attempts we have on goal, and we don't have many so law of averages says we won't score many. We have decent players but hardly any are shining at the moment so who's to blame, and again I feel the managers tactics are not good enough and we aren't seeing much flair when we know we have a squad full of flair. We don't have a leader who has the respect of the squad like a Vinny type player. We are missing a leader someone who can dictate play on the field and kick ass when his team mates are not putting a shift in. We need a leader the opposition are scared of
Morning ristac, If someone told you two, maybe 3 years ago that we would have the likes of Buckley and Wood, I for one would have bit their arm off. The starlets in our midfield are letting the team down. WE SHOULD HAVE SIGNED JOEY BARTON.
Morning Doc, even Lorimer was having a go in the YEP saying playing one up top is very negative, especially at home. I'm surprised you don't see Bamba as a leader though.
Morning all We are not good enough and our tactic of not conceding and trying to nick one will only get you so far. Its much better playing like that away from home as our points tally suggests. Teams like Brentford come to ER and play with no fear, somethings wrong!
Good morning to Matt and co from a very sunny Bardsey I'm usually defending managers but over the last few games I have questioned his team choices particularly Mowatt, all the time, Belusci againsT Boro and Wootton against MKD I have also questioned why he brings back all the players for corners and whilst we have probably the biggest team in the league we have still to score a goal from set pieces this should have been sorted out along time ago Bamba is the best choice for captain Would I stick with Rosler perhaps give him until the end of Nov if no improvement then show him the door
Good Morning Bucks, indeed, we play like we want to nick one on the counter, but will concede 3 in the process.
Morning Mike, I'm sure Bardsey must have more sunshine than Spain Suppose we don't have a huge squad, but would agree with Wooton, and would certainly add Doukara to that list. I felt sorry for Bellusci. I didn't think he did all that much wrong, but watching the Boro game, and his negative body language, hope he rots on the bench. Last year Cooper was not good enough. What I want to know is, Has Cooper suddenly got better, or is Bellusci worse?
Morning. It takes quite a few years to build a successful team to get promoted to the Premier League. It is obvious we have had little chance of building a decent team given the turmoil at the club with successive "owners". We need a period where we have a committed owner and a very experienced manager/coach. We dont have many players who could command a regular place on one of the top six clubs. Until the situation with MC is settled with the FL then we are stuck with what we have. This season is another non season for me with the usual optimistic fans hoping for some good news/results. As ever, I live in hope with the rest of you.
I think Barton of 5 years ago may have damaged the dressing room, but with age you mellow, and I certainly think although he hasn't lost his bite or his passion, he is more mature.
You get a team good enough to be promoted by having the second smallest playing budget in the league......... Simples Rosler is too negative but perhaps he is constrained by Cellino cost cutting beyond what can realistically be achieved whilst being a decent team......
Totally disagree, well that is a surprise, look at Bournemouth last season they have a small squad low budget but they achieved promotion Burnley the previous season did the same No its about balance and now for the first time in a long time we have the balance it just needs someone with vision to put the pieces together
As you know Matt I have always liked Cooper and so I am biased I think Bellosci needs to go back home it shows in his demeanour and totally agree about Doukara as I have said he jumps 5 feet but he is over 6and effort forget it #Bardsey seems to get plenty of sun being in a sheltered low lying valley
You might be able to compensate on rare occasions by having an attacking minded coach and a couple of exceptional players and that is what happened in both the examples you cited (exceptions that prove the rule). But unfortunately in football as in life money talks. Sky have componded the problem and as an example its no coincidence that scum didnt win the tilte for 28 years when there was no real cash incentive but now there is they, chelscum and Citeh are the only three with a chance. I have said my piece and will leave it now rather than embark into another row.
