I hope the owners did not have to shell out too much.

Well we finally did it.... after one failed attempt in Kenya for Mme's 50th and three failed attempts in the last year.... all cancelled due to the weather. Has to be one of those " things to do in this lifetime" ....... We enjoyed it very much indeed.

In search of the man in the moon
Yorkie went up in a balloon
    After three efforts failed
    This time off they sailed
Let's hope he gets back sometime soon

Morning all, overcast and misty start to the day, typical of autumn I suppose. I have been watching two red squirrels collecting walnuts from the tree across the lane and taking them to some soft earth in front of my barn where they bury them. We find the nuts send up shoots in the spring, sometimes in the containers which Mme has some of her flowers in, which does show that they forget where they have put them. Still it keeps them busy and it is fun to watch them.

I discovered a wasps nest this morning, between the two floors of the house. I mention it 'cos the 4 quotes I got were from £45 - local guy - to £210 (Rentokil) and after a £30 discount ! The local guy turned up in 40 minutes (actuallt came 15 miles) , job done in 15 minutes, waited to see all ok, and will return if problem persists. The only effort I put in was to scan internet to see what solutions were available.

Is this a pub quiz question - which is Yorkie ? I have enlisted the help of Mrs. Cologne on this - we are looking for someone around my generation who has been to India and is one of the Greens. She thinks we should be looking for someone with a beard, but failing that she thinks second from the left. I think on the right with glasses.

I am home. University of Hull is interesting for language and business studies. Everyone is helpful and enthusiastic for their subjects.

Nottingham in one week for rock music overload.

Very quiet day in here. The takings will be similar to those at The Yellow and Red Lion. I have been through a battle of wills today when trying to change my car. French car salesmen do not seem to realize that because a price is on a windscreen that is only a starting point for discussion. I won, just! :emoticon-0100-smile

Sæl öll from the Graham Taylor Breakfast Nook. Tea and coffee, donuts and fruit are on the bar.

Half and half coffee for Brian
    Black coffee for Bragi
    Flat white coffee for Yorkie
    Frothy for W_Y
    Café Allongé for OFH

Back to normal for a few days. While I was away I bought a CD in Sainsbury. The ttile is Magic Bus and has 57 songs from the 1960s and 1970s. I really enjoy it.

So in the end we came second in the group, the Hollanders could not be trusted to win and we lost the goal at the death. Anyway we fear no one in EM2016, France be ready.
