So, YNWA, one of the most highest rated songs from both a pop-culture and artistic music review is crap. And the Beatles, perhaps the biggest music pop band of all time were crap. All music that isn't shallow and happy-happy is crap. ... And you expect people to take you seriously?
Gave? Fair to say he earned it. Look what he started on. There's a difference between paying someone £200k when he's the best player in the league and paying someone £200k before he's kicked a ball in the league.
What his wage was when you plucked him from Holland and whether he'd earned it or not, is irrelevant to the point. Can't / won't pay big wages is a complete fallacy
Just because the sheeple like it doesn't make it great. Usually means its aimer at the lowest common denominator. One direction are popular, sell millions of records. Still utter ****e.
FSG are probably the most consistent owners in the entire league with regards to the wage structure starting relatively low but perfectly willing to increase to match performance
Look up the origins of YNWA. It was not aimed at mass market. It was aimed at theatre goers. Got lot of rave reviews from critics and music experts. It reached mass popular approval. As for the Beatles, again a combination of popular acclaim and critic acclaim. They were talented and although they put out fluff like your "yellow submarine" they had a lot of artistic songs that experimented and changed the direction of popular music. They were a huge influence on musicians for decades and invented various syncopations that people mimic to today.
Which was less than what City were paying, and reflects the fact he's won everything in England please log in to view this image
It was more than City were offering, as he was at the end of his contract. You've now shifted tact to saying that they were prepared to pay him based on his CV, which is a World away from your starting point of saying they start low and work up. So they are prepared to pay the top end going rate, thanks for clearing that up
Er no, I specifically made the comparison between paying someone lots of money when they had never even kicked a ball in the PL, compared with someone who had already demonstrated success #epicfail there Tobes
Oh dear.... What you actually said was; FSG are probably the most consistent owners in the entire league with regards to the wage structure starting relatively low but perfectly willing to increase to match performance No reference to "never even kicked a ball in the PL" there I'm afraid, and the statement was clear anyway - that they start low and increase based on performance, which I've just proved is bollocks. They'll will and can pay the going rate when they choose to. please log in to view this image
I can't say I'm a fan of the Beatles myself, I'm more into proper rock music, rather than the mellow stuff the Beatles played. Though I can appreciate that they did have some talent, well 3 of them had talent anyways. Ringo wasn't all that great a drummer to be fair, nor did he do any of the songwriting. I think any act that can sell records and make money from there music has to have talent. It won't appeal to everyone but it doesn't mean they aren't talented to others
Oh dear, he comes back for more. So your entire point was a contradiction then? They start low and increase based on merit was your statement, but you've now swapped that to they'll only pay proven PL players the going rate? Which is it?
