Just to go off subject a moment but when are Klopp's two mates coming in? Not seen any photos or read anything about that just that they are coming
For me it 'achieved' this - Have you ever had a funny feeling about someone and not taken to them but you can't point to anything specific as to why you feel like that? And some time later you find out that they did something shady or had a some dark secret - you feel sort of vindicated and the 'feelings' you had about them that you couldn't explain are validated.
Fair enough, was just asking For me, its all irrelevant. He was our manager and now he isn't. Everyone is entitled to opinion and, of course, there are always two sides (at least) to a story. Maybe he said it the way its reported, maybe he said it differently and its been taken or reported in the wrong way or maybe he didn't say it at all. Who knows. I don't see the point in worrying about something that we have no idea about and no control over, especially when its so irrelevant now he's left.
According to Harry "stick a microphone in front of me and I'll talk any old s***e" Rednapp, LFC offered Ancelloti the managers job first and he turned it down so they went for Klopp. Reminiscent of the "Martinez was the first choice instead of Rogers" talk.
He's the new Dave Whelan, how he would know that is, well he wouldnt know that Just talking out of his tea bag strainer
I'm not about to post that podcast link to everyone [or anyone] I know to let the world know what he [may have] said and try and discredit the man. It just goes some way to validating my doubts about him. I don't believe most of what I read in the media about football players private lives or whatever but I can't see why this fella would lie about it. To answer your other question as to why now? Bear in mind the 'men in blazers' show [the podcast link] is on NBC and brings the PL to the USA - which is probably why it wasn't big news in the UK until someone dug it out after Rodgers left and now we're hearing about it. please log in to view this image Hosts Michael Davies (@embassydavies) and Roger Bennett (@rogbennett) believe soccer is the American sport of the future. Plus Rodgers would have sued the bollocks off him if it wasn't true. After reading what you've found I reckon there's every possibility he said it, plus anyone with an oil painting of himself in the hall is so far up his own rectum he can see out of his mouth.
If it isn't true then I would imagine Brod would care a lot more than any of us do, it's damaging to his reputation. No club and/or its fan will want him if he is so disrespectful towards their clubs history. However, like you, I don't care. I'm just being a argumentative ****
Maybe he's hoping Liverpool fans will hate him. The FA will take a big note of that and it will be a big plus for him when the England job becomes available.
Rodgers could have said something like 'what previous managers did has no bearing on what I do' [in his own inimitable choice of words .. obviously] but two things 1. why would he say 'is the microphone on?' before saying it. 2. why would Bennett report it using the words he did if it wasn't as close to what he remembered? Jimmy's opened a can of worms and scarpered
