Not saying we should get rid of our manager. However if we did, would people be open to the idea of JFH taking over the top job? He won the league with Burton in League 2 last season, he now has em joint top of league 1 this season after 12 games, has a win percentage there of over 62%. I think there would be worse candidates and I really think he would jump at the chance to manage leeds.

There isn't exactly many other viable options I can think of if we do all of a sudden need a new manager.

And again, I feel the need to stress that i don't think we should be getting rid of Uwe just yet.

I agree Josh, Rosler going now wouldn't be on Cellino's agenda, but he'd be hovering around the off switch, I sense Cellino's patience is waning, and his frustrations waxing though.

JFH, to many he would be a umming and arring situation in that he'd be coming up from L1/L2 to a league that's hard to get out of, well worth the short list as a minimum.

We had BM, who got Reading promoted but fizzled out at Leeds, We had Hockaday who got the players fit but the results weren't forth coming, although I felt his departure was a bit premature, Milanic, who had success with a few Euro teams but kept picking the team to draw, Redders from our Academy, played favourites, couldn't see in front of his nose and kept picking a none attacking team, we now have Rosler who's had success in past but was out of work when Cellino gave him a chance. He too seems to be picking a none attacking team with the aim not to lose rather than too win, I also think he's playing favourites with a few players.

It would seem, while we are a team in championship, we're a damn hard team to manage/coach, or we're picking wrong coaches, which can happen at any club.

Because of his recent successes with Burton I'd put him on short list, I'd add Gary Mac too who I believe has recently become available and, while some will disagree, I'd add Steve Evans to the list because of his back to back successes with Rotherham, but, before some say he couldn't cut it in championship, he would have better players than he did at Rotherham.

Milanic is still on gardening leave I believe, but he's not available due to getting ready for the next Chelsea Flower show.

We have to be realistic as in who we could attract in a coach only role, we also have to be realistic as in we are not promotion material so any manager managing a team challenging near the top is not going to be interested.

JFH would be a good call, another gamble but when other names like Ferguson & Clark have been branded around I would jump at the chance. I wouldn't rule out Grayson coming back either.

I wouldnt mind JFH. Didnt leave on great terms though if I remember right? A few wins and i'm sure that would be water under the bridge though.

You're right Bucks....:emoticon-0148-yes: from memory JFH left because he wanted a ridiculous amount of money and O'Leary said no, so JFH was sold; at the time he seemed to think he was bigger than Leeds.

Most Leeds fans have good memories, we don't easily forget and it could be a drawback for JFH if he doesn't get the results, but as you say, a few wins and he could be forgiven, a little bit.

Evening All. At last back to the real football after the internationals. My personal opinion is that it matters little who we have in charge whilst Cellino has so much influence on what players are bought and what system we play.
JFH is proving himself though and one championship club is bound to give him a chance if not us. Don't know what sort of budget he has there in comparison to other league 1& 2 clubs though.

JFH looks like he's going to be a top manager. I'm honestly not sure if he'd leave Burton at the moment tho.

I honestly don't think its much at all. Burton were sitting midtable for many years in league 2 before he took over. Within a season won the league with them and now has em top of league 1 in his second season there. They score a lot of goals as well so we can maybe assume he likes an attacking style of play. As you say if we don't give him a chance another championship club will. I also agree with leedsrevolution, he seems like he has the makings of being a top manager.

JFH, no way for me, greedy man and O'Leary did the right thing.

Nigel Pearson would be my choice, as the kraut aint going to make it.

I wouldn't say proven? He hasn't quite managed a whole year yet atBirmingham and being an ex Birmingham player I doubt he would join us even if we did pay Birmingham a big compensation package

I didn't realise he was still out of a job, would be a good call if he was able and willing to work under Cellino

Can't stand Pearson....<ok> He'd soon get a slap if he started telling us to **** off...personally and it is only my opinion is that he has anger and ego issues. I hope Rosler can turn things around.

Just my tuppence worth. Our current squad is an improvement on last few years. Were still a million miles from top two standard so please stop using the damn promotion word. It doesnt matter whos in charge, our squad wont be good enoughh. Silk purse from a sows ear springs to mind. Some seem to think that changing manager, again, will magically transform this bunch into world beaters. Dream on

Agree and I think Josh was just trying to say "what if" Rosler gets the chop. I too would keep him a bit longer, if just to say to the football world that he has been given a fair chance but I'm in 100% agreement! no manager is going to transform what we presently have.

To be honest after the last few days it is a pleasant change to have a thread discussing something like this <ok>

I suggested Pearson a while ago, but I, like shaks dont like him as a person. He football seems negative at times, but he gets results. A bit like big Mick, who I would also take.

Mick is the only person who might get something extra out of what we have, could you imagine him with Cellino though...

McCarthy would be my first choice as manager as I've seen what he can do when he was at Wolves and I also think they would in a better place if they hadn't sacked him.

Pearson maybe a good shout but he did take a while to get Leicester promoted.

On to JFH, he's an up and comer but do we want to throw him in to a club like ours and destroy his career thanks to our mentally insane owner and his big gob.

McCarthy would give them the boot up the arse the squad needs and he would be to get some decent players in to the squad however do you realistically expect him to leave Ipswich?
