    1. Egan ( despite his awful mistake leading to Chesterfield's goal )
    2. Donnelly ( as good a header as you'll ever see )
    3. Lennon - very cool in defence - looked to pass the ball rather than 'hoof'

I have let gioblues know this by PM, but if anyone else was thinking the same - The updated tables are on the last closed Star Player thread. So the updated table is on the Oldham match thread. Hope this helps!

Possibly not the place to take issue but Lewandovski's header against Ireland on Sunday night was quite good...

I'm not surprised that you (anyone) should mention other 'good' headers. I've posted the link to the goals in brb's 11th Octoer thread. You'll see that the header wasn't 'bullet' style - never going to burst the net. Nor did Donnelly come onto it like an express train. I was referring to the technical execution of the header.

I was directly behind the goal and in a great place to see the action. McGlashan was adjusting his feet on the right wing, before putting in the cross. Donnelly was being marked by a central defender at the time. Although the cross field ball by McGlashan was a good one, ( going to the area of the penalty spot ), it wasn't quite going to reach Donnelly - but in a flash he moved a couple of yards, and got in front of his marker. The ball is now almost at his head, - but I noticed that he looked at the goalkeepers position, and even glanced at where he eventually guided his header, - all in a split second before making contact with the ball. He then calmly cushioned the contact so as to direct the ball just inside the far post. The header wasn't spectacular - but brilliantly executed and 100% efficient.

As for Lewandoski - he's on fire at the moment. I reckon he could score a goal by throwing his shin pad at the ball.
