I don't know how many of you watch it but I would like to share with you a fantastic TV show called Leverage, starring Timothy Hutton, Gina Bellman, Christian Kane, Beth Riesgraf and Aldis Hodge. It is a modern day Robin Hood type show where a group of thieves attempt to right the wrongs of the rich and powerful and give the power back to the 'little man'. It is now in it's 4th season and I watched this weeks episode which I have to say was the best yet in my opinion. It had as a guest star none other than Danny Glover who played a WW2 veteran who stole a valuable painting from a dead German soldier to provide for himself and the woman he was in love with, a white woman in the Southern States of the US. It followed the heartbreaking story of the two young lovers and the town's reaction to their plans to run away together. What made it even better was that as Danny Glover's character was recounting the tale they used the team in the story which was a stroke of genius as Aldis Hodge and Beth Riesgraf's characters are involved in a mixed race relationship. It was a wonderful episode in a fantastic show that was intelligently written and beautifully shot. I would strongly recomment the show to anyone who likes strong character development and intelligent writing.
Can't believe no one watches such an amazing show. I thought you people were meant to have good taste?
Have to concur - had the misfortune of watching some of it round the in law's (they're all ******ed) and am a bit upset that I'll never get the 15 minutes of my life back. Would have been better off reading Janet and John.
I'll be watching The Story of Maths tonight on BBC seeing as I contributed to it. I usually watch the news, science documentaries, that sort of thing. Can't be doing with the brain-numbing effluvium you choose to watch.
What bullshit, trying to sound more intelligent than you are. Everyone watches news shows and documentaries but every now and then normal people like to watch something entertaining with a good story and strong characters. It's about escaping from reality for an hour (or however long the show lasts).
I don't hate anyone based on the tv shows they watch. there is wisdom to be found in all tv shows and it does not matter if they are news, soaps, documentaries, comedies, dramas or any other type of tv show in the world. We all watch different tv shows and we are all brothers and sisters in the eyes of God
