It's less than half a mile beyond the Hull boundary, it might be accurate to say it's not actually in Hull, but it's also rather pedantic.
Hardly pedantic, it's a simple statement of fact, that has a relevance as they're claiming to be having a nod to City's history. I wonder why they chose it rather than one actually in Hull.
It is a fact, but they're so close to being in Hull that it's a rather petty one. They might well be in Hull for their next home game anyway.
You can repeat that you think it's petty as often as you like, it doesn't make it true. Especially given the use of City's history. I'm sure if the people on Kingswood asked ERYC to collect their rubbish, they wouldn't be able to accuse them of pettiness if they pointed out the boundary.
Don't think there is a dispute. There clearly was, but Jamie left and everyone seems pretty happy now. Take your point but we talk about Ferriby on here too and all kinds of Hull related stuff. I've always assumed Dene Park was chosen because it was the only suitable venue in the area. Hall Road had problems getting the required length of leasehold on Dene Park and chose to move away. They also knew about problems with the floodlights which have since affected United. Because of those things Dene Park was available. It sounds like we'll find out the new home ground in the next day or two which might make things clearer.
It doesn't really change your point, but for the sake of accuracy, St Andrews were around for at least 25 years.
I was just going on the Hull United bio, that says the club formed as St Andrews Police Club in 2005, I really don't know anything about them at all.
Seemingly Haworth Park was available, albeit without floodlights, although that applies to Dent Park to an extent. Presumably, Hall Rd Rangers got Haworth Park on a better deal, as they couldn't attract enough sponsorship to stay at Dene Park. Do you think Hall Rd saw them coming? Where did St Andrews play?
I don't think it was about sponsorship. Hall Road moved because the NCEL demand that you have a 10-year lease and Dene Park Holdings wouldn't grant one. As they were just the tenants, I don't think they had any input on what United did. It seems that claiming to have a longer lease than he really did was one of the things Waltham is alleged to have done and that could theoretically result in United being kicked out of the NCEL, if the application to join in the first place was based on a false premise. I think St Andrews are an East Hull club, but that's only based on playing against their youth teams as a kid. They were only a HPL side which has much less stringent requirements. Some teams just play on the equivalent of a school field.

9-1 win tonight in the Cup. Sounding more and more like Craven Park for the new ground. Announcement on that in the next few days apparently. This weekend's scheduled home game is likely to be swapped with the away fixture since the league are yet to ratify the new ground. Coincidentally its in South Yorkshire at 3pm so I can go to City and still go to United too. Lovely stuff.
Principles man principles FSF (Football Supporters’ Federation) Twenty’s Plenty Campaign The FSF will provide us a banner in the Hull City colours for the national “Twenty’s Plenty” campaign on October 3rd. HCST will let members know we're working with FSF for the game (away to Nottingham Forest) through the website, newsletter and social media and let members know how they can join in. HCST board are not going to Sheffield Wednesday due to the very high ticket prices for Championship football (Up to £52 at Hillsborough). M.Scott will draft correspondence to members to poll their views on any widespread action HCST should take on the issue.
You obviously didn't get the memo, but the game was selected by sky and as a consequence was switched from a Cat A to a Cat E and it's not £50 anymore, so there's no boycott (they're even letting our Twenty's Plenty banner in).
It isn't £52 silly. They made it a Category C or whatever and now it's only a mildly extortionate fixture. As you've demonstrated, the Trust is extremely well prepared for such eventualities but thankfully that one didn't happen and no action was required.
There are HCST members, those folk who are aware of what their Trust are up to. Then there are 'members' who aren't in the Trust, unaware of what the Trust are up to (but pretend they do) and totally relaxed about making themselves look a total ****. Chazz carries their banter.
