I spend a lot of time here, due to work & other stuff, vacation etc, (holidays for the purists) these things make more sense when your immersed in it.
Firstly I'm not going to say anything other than this about guns. So in no particular order other than what pops out of my head.
    1. The way things are promoted, huge billboards everywhere, not necessarily a good thing because they are mostly for lawyers, but there's lots of them
    2. Constant music at football, can be annoying but I really enjoyed it at Orlando in the fans section, constant singing with one guy who was like a conductor, works here, I really think it could work in England too if the people would move along with it, people constantly complain about how quiet it is, then when they start making noise someone else complains to sit down. It really is time to get all the noise in one area like at away games I've been to.
    3. Trying to get to a pub in Orlando, which is where I am, is really hard, there's no pub crawl unless you're in the City centre, but to get there you need to take buses, which could take a while due to the aforementioned distance. I suppose in most City's it's the same, so shouldn't really be too surprised.
    4. Music, there's plenty of radio stations for everyone, not just the generic crap that we have in England that play the same top 40 songs over & over & over....you get the idea. In Manchester I was excited to be getting a rock station, but over the years they just play "classic rock" which is OK on a short term, but everyday Led Zep Stairway can get a bit annoying. Over here they have good new rock music that I've never heard, so really happy about that. Here's a couple of what I've found!

A bit of Sunday Music: Possibly a bit PG if you're a bit PC!

    5. Driving on the left isn't as difficult as I imagined it would be, roundabouts are rare but there are some & this is the only thing I've really got confused with on one occasion. Turning right on a red light seems a bit strange too, also people have the right of way when they're walking on bits of roads so knocking them down isn't great. (Haven't done that BTW.)
    6. Electronics shopping is better here! Nothing else needed really!

There's probably loads more, but I can't think of them right now.

I think you'll find that most radios in England have knobs or buttons that allow you to change channels, you're not forced to listen to top forty rubbish.

    But they aren't.

I think you need to look beyond the 'big' channels.

When I'm in the Yorkshire area, I can't find anything other than top 40 garbage, it goes from one local channel to another, that's what I base it on.
    What's the alternatives?

BBC 6 Music is by far the best station in the country.

I don't really listen to the radio, I listen to my iPod or CDs whilst driving. Though there are many stations for various genres here, you just have to look rather than scanning over everything.

Also, phone apps such as TuneIn Radio allow you to listen to any radio station in the World if you want.

Was just about to mention 6 Music. The only worthwhile BBC station.

Radio 6 has quite possibly the best playlist of any radio station anywhere, though obviously it's only digital.

Even Radio 2 doesn't play top forty rubbish in a loop, then there's the specialist rock stations etc.

TuneIn Radio is a brilliant app, you can listen to near enough any channel in the World.

Who doesn't want to listen to some Bolivian Folk Hip-Hop?

There's an App simply called "Radios" I use as well
By the sounds of it he'd appreciate Kerrang Radio which is on there

Based on that choice of 'music' up top, I'd agree.
