Bad news...but at least then he still may be a very good animal when he get's back fit. Hopefully he will make a full recovery and make his presence felt in the top races to frank the impression he gave in his first 2 starts.
http://nassauboard.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/chepston-10th-october.html That is a full blog on yesterdays meeting at Chepstow. The main line is... class is class and I ducked out of backing Court Minstrel because of the market. WHAT A FOOL!
Good read Nass, thanks for posting. I'm surprised you weren't more taken with Cocktails at Dawn, I thought he put in a tremendous round under a positive and professional ride from Nico. I nearly posted something to the effect of "I bet Nass has backed Starluck" on the DT but beer got the better of me
He did it very nicely and is a lovely looking horse, but I am a little concerned that he just bullied them yesterday. If his target is the PPGC then its going to be a massive test as he won't get an easy lead and his jumping will really be tested. I am not sure that he is as good as his last two runs suggest, but that is yet to be proven!! It was too far for Starluck, but he actually travelled really nicely into it and wasn't disgraced despite his rising age. I can't believe he is 10!
Fair enough mate, but he was giving 8lbs to some nice sorts. We're showing our age with Starluck, I remember having lumped on Go Native for the Christmas Hurdle a few years ago. Go Native came there at the last absolutely taking the piss and then he idled and Starluck almost caught him.
