simply dont accept it is anything to do with being a mod, unless it makes me feel a greater responsibilty to be respectful.
Syd I did mean it slightly tongue in cheek. That said though I imagine it must change how some would reply to you. Sir.
I find the mag board pretty similar to ours really, on the few times iv'e ventured over, they've been ok on the whole, obviously one or two have the go **** yourself stance, but as a whole they are usually ok. Same as when they come on here, we're usually ok with the most of them, and we have some who will tell the to do one, no-matter what they say. I never usually miss a chance to take the piss, but never with malice, but this is our board so i can do it. But wouldn't waste my time venturing over there with the purpose of just the wind them up, no point really, different clubs, but that's about it.
I have read and part read most of the posts on here. The one thing all the posts have in common is the fact that they are discussing things, agreeing or disagreeing. Surely that is what these forums are about? Some complain of moderators deleting threads because they disagree. Disagree with what? What you have said or the way that you have said it? The number of times on the old 606 a good thread was destroyed simply because some people wanted to get there own brand of wind ups in. I too have visited many sites up and down the leagues including the chat forums. I have not had the problems expressed by a few. There are those though that deliberately go around the boards just to see how many people they can stir up. On most of the boards the moderation is about the same. The people on that board decide what they will or will not tolerate. Is it really so hard to to follow the rules of the particular board you are on? Or are you one of those persons that feel that rules and regulations do not apply to you? That you should not have to take any responsibility for what you say or do? I would wager that most do follow where possible the rules of the site with out quibble. This is a good site, it allows flexibility and tolerance. It gives you the reader the opportunity take part with out causing offence to others and the tools to at least to ignore those that do offend.
One thing about the mods, love them or hate them at least you know who they are and can challenge them, not insult or abuse but challenge.
