Our style of play does not suit his strength of talent, we basically play 4-1-4-1 and he doesn't perform well as a lone striker, he's behind Jerome and Mbokani in that role!
Morning all from a dry but overcast rural France. It is good to be back as so far no heating has been required and I can continue to build my wood store, whereas in Dorset last week the central heating was coming on in the evenings. Soon be time to light the fire in the Hornets Nest and pull up my old chair so that the old bones can feel the heat.
Morning all. A much brighter day today. It looks as though it will soon be time to begin the never-ending chore of raking tons of leaves from the lawn.
Morning.... looks like our ballon ride... .cancelled 4 times.... is on today...... 2 hour drive up to the lakes.. .fingers crossed
Mme went on a balloon flight for her birthday. It was cancelled so many times because of the weather that she became fed up waiting, but when it finally happened she wanted to go again. Enjoy it Yorkie, I would be happy to see the lakes from a basket.
Morning all. Flu jab to look forward to this morning. Assuming my arm hasn't fallen off and I'm not as sick as a dog it's household chores today. Pub eventually.
Morning all, bright and sunny all day with a high of 20°C forecast, but there is a much fresher feeling to the start of the day than only a week or two ago. The colder nights are certainly beginning to show up in the rich autumn colours of the tree leaves, especially the field maples. Not quite New England standard as there are plenty of ash and oak trees about, but still very good when you look across the fields to a woodland or hedgerow.
Morning all from a currently dry Jersey, although it did rain overnight so it should make the country lanes for the second and final day of the Jersey Rally. jerzeypie is over on the island for it, but he arrived on Thursday evening and went straight to Parc Ferme. The finish is at 6pm, and if he is going to the Vin d'Honneur tonight, it'll be a very quick visit to me from him and he's on the early flight back tomorrow.
Morning all...damp and autumnal here. Back from a visit to the local small supermarket where a crowd of unreasonable people all decided to shop on Saturday morning and conspired to arrive in the queue moments before me. On the drive home all local farmers contacted each other and turned into the road just as I was approaching. On the plus side, tractors go a lot faster than they used to! Relaxing with a mug of coffee now...
Morning all, the sun has broken through the early morning mist and a decent autumn day is promised. I came across this article on the Beeb and was reminded that football at lower levels can be very good for a local area. Sometimes I think that the world of the PL has forgotten what the game should be about. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-suffolk-34453434
