Love the negativity here...Klopp was the best thing since sliced bread a year and a bit ago <laugh>

Brilliant for Mainz - relegated but brought them back up and into Europe
Brilliant for Dortmund - league titles, cups, CL final

Sure the standard slipped in his last season, once Bayern tore his team apart and the injuries piled up. He left with a team that still adores him, fans that adore him and a replacement (Tuchel) who has thanked him for the platform he left behind.

At the end of the day, players will want to play for Klopp - the ones we have and ones we want to have. And the evil, foul, unheralded (no other club at all ever has one) transfer committee has got us some real talent for him to build from - Sakho, Can, Sturridge, Coutinho, Firmino.

Pretty much everything is positive... years of supporting Liverpool now makes me ask... what will go wrong?
Yes. What can ever go wrong? The sun is shining, the sky is blue, Flopp is in place. The CL and the trophies are coming..<laugh>

I don't think the United fans are being negative at all. Most have said he's a very good manager and the best you could have hoped for. The title of the thread is tongue in cheek and the main theme is laughing at the way the Liverpool fans have, once again, gone waaaaaay overboard about a managerial appointment / player signing in a way that seems to be unique to them. I'm sure he'll do well but perhaps not as well as you're expecting.

By the way, he took Mainz into the Bundesliga (and Europe) and was then relegated. He failed to get them back up again.

Yeh I know haha I'd typed out something longer but changed it, obviously edited wrong <doh>

I know... I don't really see fans going uniquely over the top. All football fans do this, and the joy of one set of fans nearly always looks alien to other football fans. That's what makes us love football!

All the Liverpool fans I've seen and certainly the ones I respect simply expect a team that works hard and excites us again. Think we're entitled to that. Don't see anyone calling for titles or cups or even top four (which is a real possibility this year and every year from now - think the hegemony is well and truly over).

EDIT: The only manager I'd expect trophies from immediately is Mourinho. He needs titles to justify the damage he does to every club he goes to.

I'd hardly describe Sakho, Can and Firmino as 'talent' considering what you payed for them. Firmino especially is dog ****e for 30 million. Admittedly Coutinho and Sturridge where good signings, though I know Sturridge definately wasn't a decision from your transfer committee, Rodgers alone wanted him having worked with him at Chelsea. Is probably Rodgers best signing, only problem he's always injured

quotes of you nailing your bollocks firmly to the mast supporting a complete bell end ie Brent?

No lad I couldn't find one of those <laugh>

How long do want your complete embarrassment to be?

Quotes of any LFC fan calling Klopp a messiah like you and Christiansmith have claimed but [HASHTAG]#failed[/HASHTAG] to back up

Not content with having actually managed to appoint a decent manager for once, they just can't ****ing help themselves, they've got to elevate his appt to one of dear bestest in the history of English football........

Their level of self importance has just been sent soaring again, he's barely emptied Brendan's desk draws and thrown away his 180 page philosophy and yet the RS have already convinced themselves that 4ths on lads, and next years our year......****ing bell ends

Quote please.

I'm on my iPad sat on the edge of a pool mate, cut and paste is beyond me today love X

Seek and ye shall find

No sign of the quote from me referencing the messiah I note.......

That was Christiansmith, I gave the quote of you claiming LFC fans call him the greatest appointment in history which you have spectacularly [HASHTAG]#failed[/HASHTAG] to back up in any way

You said it was me as well, so at least you now admit that total [HASHTAG]#fail[/HASHTAG]

I've told you where it is, go find it, not complicated (not that you haven't already like ;))

Being on an iPad doesn't stop you pressing the reply button <ok>

Will fail.

Klopps a good manager. Liverpool are anything but a good club.

The transfer committee that served you so well is still on place and your sell to survive policy will remain. He got out of Dortmund after years of losing his best players and now he's got no best player. Just a bunch of average mid table players.

How long before they realise Klopps using them as a stop gap?

Oh dear... is this serious??

They don't chose their fees. Their talent is independent of their price <doh>. Is Ronaldo talented considering what Madrid paid? or James?

Firmino has a couple of appearances and is injured.. and has looked pretty decent when he plays. Can't judge a player for a few games in August <laugh>
