I know a guys who nephew got chosen to go for under 19 Scotland trials. Was 50 chosen (top players in country at that age) and his nephew was only one from cooncil school. The private schools ****in love it over here. I'd like to know the same stat for the Scottish squad.
One of them was Owen Farrell so it's a second generation thing with that. The RFU have recently made a big effort to shift away from that. Credit where it's due. I've spent loads of nights drinking in a working class Scottish Rugby club. They know they are up against and maybe have a little bit of an inferiority complex about it but still do great work in promoting the game.
most cooncil schools in Scotland concentrate on football mine was an exception. And look how good we are at football
Unreal eh. I think drink also has a lot to play in it. So many good players in Glasgow then they start drinkin merrydoon and chasin beaver. Happens to the best of us
