Big Sam For The Mackems?

I see Big Sam is now in talks with Sunderland over their vacant position. Whoever takes it will be manager number 8 in just 7 years and not for the first time we will have the possible privilege of being their first opponents ( Depending if he takes it fairly quickly ). I'm sure they do this on purpose, although this year their team is really woeful and I think we should beat them, if it's the Arsensal,Man Un or 1st half Man city team who turn up.

 

Kevin nolan will score a hat trick against us in the derby.

 

Sam would be a good appointment for them IMHO.
It will pretty much guarantee they stay up.
The footy isn't pretty but it is effective and right now that's what they need.

 

Now confirmed, a 2 year contract.

 

That contract length is about right.
It will give SAFC and Sam enough time to look at each other whilst giving Ellis a potential out if needs be.

 

How's your old man feel about it?

 

He has a balanced view I think. He wants SAFC to stay up so for a year or two if Sam delivers he'd back him. I think he's probably more concerned about long term planning now.

 

Horror show over the long term, just a terrible football manager i.e. he has limited interest in football. Obviously Short has decided that the PL money is the be all and end all, and he is the man can do the necessary. It might work for this season in terms of keeping them up, but eventually they'll get sick of his ****e. Absolute arsehole too, his misplaced arrogance is just grating.

Why can't either of our clubs just make an appointment who is a good fit, delivering good football with solid consistent performance. Is that being too greedy? Their desperation turning to him kind of sums up the 2 clubs predicament really. We are shambles on the pitch while everything else looks in place.We'll be the next looking for a master at relegation avoidance the way things are going.
