Livepool v Saints is both on TV and is Klopp's first big home game.

Now I like a party as much as the next person but this has got Saints **** on party written all over it.

I like Klopp. For me Klopp's Liverpool is a different animal from Brendan's Liverpool. I hope we can put an end to the animosity we feel towards their club and their fans and move on.

Of course I'd still love 3 points when we play them.

This isn't just about Brendon though, they are direct rivals, we are fighting for a very similar position.

I agree. Herr Klopp may be a more pleasant and entertaining man to listen to, but Liverpool, Spurs and Everton are still our main rivals....if we reluctantly have to acknowledge that United, City, Arsenal and Chelsea will probably finish at the top. #spit

Liverpool under Klopp will be better for two reasons. He is a far better tactician than Brenda ever was, he also seems to have agreed a final say on transfers in.

While I feel no sympathy for Rodgers I do wonder if not shackled by the transfer committee he would've done better?
Actually I've thought about it , and no, Rodgers would've found a way to bugger it up.

Another match where regardless of the result all the attention will be on the opposition and their manager.

If we were to beat them by four clear goals, the media would only mention us as a throw away comment, at the bottom of the second page of the match report, that actually talked about Rodgers, Klopp and getting to know the squad etc.
Or in other words, the usual bollocks when we turn over a team we ain't supposed to beat.

I don't buy into the transfer committee excuse being thrown out by Rodgers.

No matter our personal opinion on some our former players, nearly all of the signings Liverpool have made in the last few seasons have regressed from the performances they were giving to their former teams.
At some point you just have to say that it's the tactics and the coaching that's the cause and not a group of over-rated players

    Yes.
I think Rodgers would have more credibility and sympathy if he'd not clearly 'sulked' at times and was reluctant to use some players as they should be. Rickie was not the only player given little meaningful time on the pitch. He wasted many of the talents at his disposal and clearly played favorites with some.

Klopp's press conference seems to have convinced most 'pool fans he's the messiah though.

I was going to say it'll hard for Rodgers to return to the Prem, but then I notice Fat Sam has just been announced Sunderland's manager. Have they got a big center forward?

May not have a big centre forward yet, but odds on they'll have a Kevin Nolan soon!

That, plus Rodgers apparently did get his way at times. He was the one who wanted all of our players. He doesn't come out looking very good considering how much he spent and how well they've done over there,

I just hope he tells Hodgson to f*ck off back to the sheltered accommodation unit and stop shoving his sticky old beak into Club business .......................

Why should the Chavs finish top 4? It would be wonderful for them to continue their meltdown, for Roman to leave, get relegated and join Leeds in the Championship and never be seen again.

LFC relegated? Too much excitement for a Friday night. The very thought is too much

Too much rubbish being spouted here for my liking. Liverpool are a fine club, and Rodgers is a decent young British manager. I dont wish him nor LFC any ill. U all seem to be having a large love-in with Klopp, but lets see first shall we. Dortmund went swiftly downhill after a mega season under him. Personally im not bothered, so long as we beat Liverpool when we play them and we keep on improving as a team.

Have to say, I think he speaks well. I quite like him: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34486470

He cracked a nice joke with the media when he said... All the people told me about the British Press and so it's up to you to make them all liars... Crucially for him, they laughed too. :)

I think you'll find he had a bit more than a mega season. I'm pretty sure Liverpool would take back to back titles followed by back to backlk runners up and a champions league final. The bloke had a decent record.

I think Rodgers did poorly there. If anyone had a mega-season then failed, it was him. The signings that were made aren't crap players, he just didn't use them well, coach them well, or seem to have an idea of what his best tactics were.

We talk a lot about players 'finding their level' - from what I see, Liverpool was a level too high for him.
