Gotham has just started again, thankfully the first few episodes of this season are better than the first 2 of the last one, **** knows how they were going to hook people by starting like that. The ginger guy who plays the Joker-like kid was quality. I'm re-watching King of The Hill at the moment as the last time I watched it I was 12 and didn't really get it. Simpsons is brilliant, it's still brilliant. Some of the stuff they come out with now is a bit different, but there's still a lot of gold in there. I'm liking the new over arcing South Parks, they're decent. I agree with Chazz, Spartacus was great and it was a shame that the bloke died, but the whole show was class from start to finish. Never understood the love for Game of Thrones. Full of floppy dicks, unecessarily brutal deaths (which Spartacus does miles better), far too many characters (there's like 60) and the only way for a storyline to progress is for people to either **** or kill each other. But it doesn't matter because there's still a billion other characters waiting in the wings. Oh you can say "****" in every other sentence? Well that's fresh, well written shock value right there. Not. It's total bollocks and that fat **** George RR Martin is raking it in. I wish it would end. Or he died. Either suits me. Quite liking iZombie as well, can't work out why though. Nah Castro. You see, there's this thing at University called 'shared accommodation', which is where you and a few friends rent a home together whilst on your studies. As a result, you and your friends spend a lot of time around one another, which obviously involves having nights out in pubs and clubs on a regular basis (which we do), but also involves things happening within the home, such as watching TV/movies or playing video games, for example. Hope that helps.
It wasn't, no, but it was still better than most of the **** that's around atm. Why can't Britain make good comedy anymore?
Futurama and Simpons are alright, but if we're talking animated comedy Family Guy, American Dad and South Park are way better.
Political correctness, sadly. People involved in the entertainment industry are afraid of upsetting people for fear of the backlash, because too many people out there like to have a reason to complain.
Futurama is my personal fave, but in terms of animated comedy nothing has come close to The Simpsons during the mid-90s.
Agree about South Park, but I think Family Guy is getting a bit thin on the ground. I'm glad they made Stewie deeper, the "I'm going to kill my mother and take over the world" schtick was funny for about 6 seconds.
Don't be silly, everyone knows Danger Mouse was the best animated comedy ever. It even had Assem in it.
Probably the best series ever on TV, with brilliant writing, characters, and acting. The only series anywhere near as good was I Claudius, many moons ago, and even that would appear dated now.
I only put in that and the great night in, great night out remark as an excuse to link to my favourite Smashie and Nicey clip.
Simpsons had about a 3 to 5 year spell in the 90s where is pissed on everything else. The satire, the social commentary, it had it all. I could watch it over and over. Watching The Returned at the minute it's pretty good.
