.... what car would you buy and why? Just trying to while away the 9 days until the next away game and 12 days for the next home game.

I would avoid a very loud and flashy car like the Lamborghini Aventador (approx £250) where most heads would turn to look and be envious, disgusted or even disinterrested.

A classy car like the Aston Martin Vantage is probably the one for me. Those that know anything about cars would know that you've chosen quality and those that don't would say it's a nice colour! I suppose the Bond association with the brand probably plays a part in my choice somewhere in my psyche.

What's your choice and what does it say about you?

A 1980's beautifully restored Porsche 911 SC. Probably the best car ever to be produced imo. The lines are to kill for. Forget the Ferraris and Lambos, they are totally unreliable. I drove a Lambo Countach once but never again, it was terrible, honestly.

My old man had an E Type too back in the day. It was brand new, and he too didn't like it. Not sure why but he didn't.

It was British, what did you expect?...

In 1975 I was offered by a workmate a Black E-Type Mkll with the Reg No. 6 REV, previously had been owned by a vicar. My mate wanted £1,600 but I couldn't quite afford it. Similar models are selling today at £30,000 upwards. Hindsight is a wonderful thing...<doh>

I bought it for $25000 about 20 years ago, kept for the summer and sold it back to the garage I bought it from for a bit less!! (it was a V11 by then)
By the way it was brown, looked like a giant turd.

If I were to buy any car now It would have to be an Aston.

Ferrari 246GTS, Ferrari 458 Speciale, Ferrari 458 Spider, Porsche 997 GT3rs 4:0ltr, Citroen DS19, Ariel Atom supercharged. I have owned (and currently have) one of the above. None too manically avant garde, but some of the best drivers cars ever made.

The last time I was in Florida, 2 years ago, I hired this baby.

It was a beast and drove like you were sitting in your armchair. Totally unsuitable for England though. ( You'd also find yourself being targeted by the anti 4x4 Nazi's too. )

    350mph 0-60 in 1.4Seconds
    No time to be anyone
Currently I have a Saab 93 Aero Hot with Maptun chip set Stage 3 if took it to Stage 5 then it's 350 bhp
Currently on performance it's faster than my partners M3 so I have little desire for any other car ... I have fulfilled by petrol head
For France we jointly have a Renault
Grand Espace 3.5 V6 and again for French roads can't beat that ... A armchair 11 years old that boosts 7 people between a-b brilliantly
Brilliant car for £1400 that is very quick and paid for itself in 3 trips compared to hire cars
It has the same engine as Nissan Z350 Do not touch any other Espace model

Both my cars were less than my partners service and repair bills on her BMW so with cars money is the object IMO

    Here is a stage 5/6Saab
If you have 7k then this is a bargain and there won't be much around that could live with it including most super cars
    Total comfort and total class
