    Ferguson stated over the weekend that Giggs would now be Utd manager if he had retired earlier, he also said in the interview i linked that it wasn't his choice who replaced him because united are a big club and ain't that stupid and that it was purely down to the club.
    So hes either a hypocrite or stupid or both to contradict himself.<whistle>

    If he thought so highly of Giggs's managerial potential he would have given him a player/coach role to give him experience while he was still in charge, Fergies just jumping on the bandwagon and trying to take credit for what Giggs has done since he hung his boots up...which aint a lot unless you class sitting quietly next to the manager during games as an achievement. :bandit:

    Going to be gutting for the Scots if/when they're the only ones (out of the home nations) who don't make it to the easiest to qualify Euros.

    Could still make it.. if things stay as they are then Scotland need to beat Gibraltar (99% going to happen) and hope ROI beat Poland and Scotland will finish 3rd and go into a playoff.

    Could end up with all 5 home nations in the Euros.

    Scotland have a GD of +5 if they hold on, Poland have a GD of +21 so I don't think it'll happen that way, unless its decided on H2H??

    Scotland have the better H2H record over Poland.

    Germany are going through despite losing... thanks to Scotland beating Poland..

    But Scotland's hope of going through and lower because Germany are losing..

    Who'd have thought Scotland would be doing Germany a favour and Germany would be screwing over Scotland tonight <yikes>
