So, sensible question; how long do people think it will take for our players to adapt to Gegenpressing? It's not as simple as just pressing as we did under Rodgers, he has 6 players approaching the ball, communicating and closing off angles so they're continually forced to play backwards. We often had just 2 or 3 pressing the ball. When they win the ball back, they rely on quick and tight passing to get the ball quickly up top and break (I'd like to see Markovic come back as I think he'd be great with his pace).

I actually think Lallana will do well in this system. He can press well and can control the ball in close areas.

I think Benteke will flourish under him given he likes overloading one side of the pitch so that the fullback on the opposite side has space for crosses. Moreno and Clyne fit his style perfectly.

If he hits the ground running, we're nowhere near out of the race for fourth yet - it's very tight in the table.
If he has a slow start, are we looking for a good cup run and top 6?

Very excited to see what he does with our team. Imo, we have a great set of players for him, particularly up top. I hope he can sort the midfield and defense out a bit though.

Why would we need Didi as a translator when Klipperty speaks perfect English?

Didi is a pundit for Ireland v Germany game and he seemed to poopoo any idea he's be joining and was saying you don't need to fill Liverpool staff with ex Liverpool players.

I think it depends highly on fitness. Klopp needs highly fit players.

Ignoring a broken foot, our highly fit players are Henderson, Milner, Ings, Moreno, Clyne and Firmino.

We do however have some highly talented injury risks. Sturidge, Benteke, Lucas, Sakho.

Coutinho isnt often a 90 minute man.

I think it will take a while to be honest - its very physically intense and the players haven't had a preseason to adopt such a tactic.

The reason why I don't think Benteke and Lallana will do that well under Klopp is because Klopp's style is high pressing and counter attacking football.

Lallana is energetic but his pressing is not that great actually - it's not efficient, he's more of a headless chicken. And Benteke is simply doesn't press that often.

With counter attacking football, we need speed to break - Lallana dwells too much on the ball and slows down attacks. And Bentekw isn't particularly that intelligent.

However, if there is one man who develop these players, it's Klopp. And it's why I'm willing to give players a fresh chance because they'll be working with a world class coach who will get the best out of them.

Look at the media coverage this one appointment has made world wide. This is how significant Klopp and LFC are, and I was actually starting to feel that we had lost that appeal.

Fans, pundits, ex players are all talking about us once more.

Reus is injury prone and he'd cost a lot. What we should do is develop Markovic and play him on the left. It'll be his best role which will allow him to drift in centrally.
