I note Bier Keller isn't on the list so why did they have it closed down.

It was closed down due to being refused a fire certificate and having it's licence revoked as a consequence.

Though I don't know how I know that, so I might have just dreamt it.

Hoffbrahaus? Was it Dingwall when it burned down? Had phones on the tables so you could ring people at other tables?

Odyssey definitely had phones on the tables.

I quite liked Dingwalls as s venue, though I can't actually remember many decent bands playing there. I remember going to see Orange Juice, but I wasn't really a fan, the missus liked them.

I used to o there a lot - it was all wood inside and all the windows had heavy metal grills over them - it was a death trap - the fire brigade used to limit tge numbers going in so you had to queue outside until somebody left - there was often more than 50 queuing for up to an hour

I think it was the first club I ever went to, I must have been 15 and I went with some six form girls from school.

What was the place that had nasty bouncers? - most of them I hear you say! - somebody told me the bouncers took some guys into the lift to throw them out and when the lift went back up to let others go down the lift the walls were covered in blood!

I think that would have been Romeos as that had the lift.

One of my mates who i hung around with in town, played football with one guy who was apparently dragged in the lift by a couple of bouncers, unfortunately he was rather handy and when the lift arrived at the bottom he walked out, two bouncers thought it a good idea to bleed all over the lift floor...

Well that was what he told me anyway.
