Skrtels Nipsil be honest i dont know how they get their figures but they basically do the accounts for all the teams and forbes are really well respected lol they are a global financial organisation, having said that look back to 2008 and the other big financial institutions were selling each othe rtheir debt and betting it would fail and then the bubble burst lol.

no they are not. Forbes are a publishing and media company. These so called financial experts are journos, That is like saying Phil McNulty is a football expert and knows more about the inner workings of the game then Sir Alex Fergueson because he writes for a respected football website

Forbes are known as the biggest bullshitters in the states.

One thing many people miss is that these "most valuable" lists are always based on out of date data. The "value" of the football clubs in this list will be based on the results from the 09/10 season when Liverpool were struggling to remain solvent under H&G and had missed out on the CL, hence their value was bound to be discounted. No clubs have yet provided their financial results for 10/11, so these values say nothing about the most recent season.

The timing of these lists is targeted at the US sports teams who provide financial figures for the calendar year, i.e. Jan-Dec, and publish them in June and July, rather than football clubs who provide financial figures for Jul-Jun, so they are a poor indicator of the current situation for football clubs, especially ones in transition.
