And think we should avoid becoming arrogant here. We're fortunate that Klopp is the type of guy he is. He didn't want a already establish and/or cash rich club, he wanted a project. We fit his wishes and he fits ours. Most managers (including Ancelotti it seems) would avoid us.
Amusing that he was on Utd's shortlist to replace Lord Buckfast but he was tied by contract to his club and he was touted as Wenger's successor.

Wenger will still be at Arsenal next season but if things get worse at Chelsea I'd expect Pep to replace Mourinho in the summer, Mourinho will get another job no problem and that leaves utd with Giggs when LvG jets of to his paradise island in 18 months.

We are right to be optimistic. Klopp has a fantastic resume. If he flops then we wouldn't be fools for being optimistic at this point in time. Everyone including most neutrals (real neutrals not Everton fans) expect Klopp to be better than Rodgers.
If Klopp flops. It will be sad an unfortunate but won't make anyone a fool for being optimistic about his arrival.
