Is that not what I said . . . . in a slightly different, and far more sarcastic, way <whistle>

Who knows what's happening. All I know is with so many internationals away what could we do anyway? I'd like to start seeing players turning their countries down when they're failing at the Job that brings them wages. What we really need this fortnight was everyone together. Ideally with the New manager.

Short has known since last season we would need a new manager. It was no secret that DA`s appointment was temporary. Has he been looking since then? If he wasn`t then he damn well should have been. If he has been looking and couldn`t find anybody it would explain being more or less forced to ask DA to stay on.

If that`s the case, he couldn`t find anyone then and he can`t find anyone now.

This club is in a right royal mess.

Couldn't agree more Pops, Very bad management, but hope springs eternal and I hope Short knows what he's doing, just doesn't seem that way from a distance.

I don`t think he does. I think he`s making the wrong decisions because he`s acting on bad advice.

Appointing a new manager can only be put into the context of our current plight. We are not a bad team, we have decent players, we hoped for a better start than we have got but reality is we need another fire fighter. Had DA carried over the results he achieved last season and we were no longer struggling then a manager would look twice at the end of this season.

As we stand now it will take another fighter to get us clear of the bottom three. Sam may want this season only, or a longer contractg, either way he is in the driving seat, just so long as he gets us safe.

I reckon DA wasn`t that far away.

The pre season was a complete shambles. Whoever dreamed that up needs their arse kicking.

The performance against Spurs was an improvement and the first half on Saturday showed real promise. Another couple of weeks and DA might well have started getting results. But, it wasn`t to be.

I honestly think though, whoever comes in has a better squad to work with than the one DA started with. Credit to him for that imo.
