Morning Elland and all. i see there has been more shenanigans with a banning on the forum and subsequently it was reversed. Is this correct and if so, exactly whats going on? Its begun to feel like big brother is watching waiting to press ban buttons. Im not the only one peeved at this lately
It's getting like the bbc 606, when you were banned if some sneaky twat decided to keep reporting you, even if you'd said nothing to deserve it. If it starts getting like that the Leeds forum will lose a lot of posters...

Sullivan was definitely up there with the best of that list. If you think Schmeichel for us was any better than the others on that list then you are wrong. Paddy Kenny, Kasper, Lonergan, Silvestri all very similar as in can stop shots but rubbish at commanding area and organising defence. Alex McCarthy was exceptional in his time for us, in a team that conceded 88 goals or something daft he managed around 10 games on loan keeping a fair few clean sheets and saving a penalty.
The way I see it a supermod has banned one of our posters due to a complaint without consulting me or El. Both me and El, backed said poster and got the ban overturned. It's NOT the way we want this board run and I'll be damned if thats going to be the structure going forward and I will be first out the door. I'm embarrassed by the whole thing and left with egg on my face again. I have mail that i'm just to angry to open right now, so bare with me if it was from one of you lads
Chill out Bucks, this is meant to be a lively board with differing opinions. Jokes aside, we shouldn't have to ban people. A quiet reminder to posters whose posts cause constant offense to keep it civilised should suffice. But keep it all going mate

I'm surprised that leeds 60 can remember Sprake but does not mention David Harvey. Harvey made fewer mistakes than any goalkeeper I have seen.He rarely made spectacular saves because of his positioning, but he was top class.I think he was the best keeper Leeds have had,followed by Martin.
Redfearn wasn't the right guy for us but I don't blame him, I always felt he would find another job in this division and it looks like he will. Worst keeper Rachubka and best Martyn, I don't get the best shot stopper that I keep seeing being mentioned, isn't that what all keepers do, stop shots?
And he bred rabbits. What's not to like about Harvey. Martyn and Sullivan were both very good keepers, although we got sully at the tail end of his career. The rest are a bit of a mixed bag.
Looks like I have some catching up to do with this banning saga, I can't see the point in having our own mods here if they are going to be watched over. What gets me is the mods here know the characters and they are here every day yet a 'super mod' knows less that 5% of what goes on and feels it is acceptable to ban a member without discussion with those here most of the time?
The reason you have to catch up Ristac is that there is no proper discussion re these ridiculous decisions. Yesterdays was during the caption thread when only wj, Glory and myself seemed to have been on I believe. Most others would have missed it but thats where youll find the nonsense I left school forty years ago and Ill be damned if Im having another schoolmaster sniffing about monitoring every post we make waiting to use his ban hammer
A member of our board reported another for a post he or she found out of order. Which is fine. The supermods then took a decision to ban a poster from our board on the back of that. Me and El, overturned it. It shouldnt have got that far. Supermods should be used when requested IMO. The decision to ban forum members from certain boards should be made by the mods of that board. At worse the supermod should have consulted us about it before making a decision on if the post warranted a ban or not. Does that help clear things up a bit?
I know where you're coming from shaks as the things that stopped me jacking it in permanently was being a mod and not wanting to let the ****ers win.
