No. I don't know about you lot, but as kids we were called coggers or left- kickers by the Proddies. Left-footed just meant you kicked a ball with your left foot. (I'm that as well).
Never heard of left kickers and I think we're of similar age. Coggers - yes, proddie dogs - yes. It's always been left-footer - I'm one too
Maybe it's regional, or maybe just an invention by the people I knew, but it clearly differentiated between a Catholic and a left-footed person, so I'm sure it's true. There are local differences, a few weeks ago on here someone used the word jigger. I wasn't even aware of that until I went to senior school- we called it an enog.
