There was something on BBC breakfast news this morning. Apparently, we tried to contact him about the vacant job before Rodgers was appointed. A voicemail was left. He didn't respond because " I thought it was a joke" <grr>

Should have kept the money though, ok zero nett spend
But I do believe Benteke and Firminho are the quality we need, at least they didn't let him waste it on more bang overpriced average.
I hope they have a bit left for Kloppo
I just hope for one thing now, buy players for their position not just buy players and try and shoe horn them into a team by playing them out of position.
eg Can is a £10 million central midfielder, he is a £3 million centre half, if you want a centre half, buy a centre half!!!!

I think Liverpool job came too early for Rodgers. Big club not for him to manage.

We wanted Klopp or De Boer - they were number one choice. But Klopp was doing well at Dortmund and De Boer had only joined Ajax.

Martinez and Rodgers were plan Bs.

I doubt it but Klopp did want him at Dortmund and is a big fan. Hopefully Klopp will play him centrally

No reason why you can't play both centrally ..

Those two behind Sturridge is frightening. They can start wide and drift centrally, with full backs providing width.

Moreno and Clyne will be in for a tough time.

Possibly. Klopp is 48... Firm is early 20s. Its very possible. Klopp would have been in his 20s when he was conceived.

Can you hear the sound of hooves? Klopp's on his way, but will his first 10 games be more Rodgers than Dalglish?
