I don't know, you're having trouble recycling yours aren't you? P.S. I know you're not married to her.
I meant the 'actual' variety, but yes, that situation hasn't got any easier. She went round to Cockney Roger's and his Mrs last Friday night and he called her all the lazy bastards under the sun. I'm not supposed to know
I don't think many people grow up wanting to be waiters... That said waiters at nice restaurants can make a living. If you consider how pricey an expensive meal is and then consider that at a fancy restaurant you're supposed to tip 20%.
I always thought it was a cultural trope in the States that waiters were just doing the job whilst waiting for their "big break" in something or other. I know that's a generalisation, but I didn't think many considered it a career choice as such. I suppose like lots of jobs, people just see it as a means to earn money, and for some that might be all they require from life.
"The problem with the world is that fools are always so certain, and wise people full of doubt." Bertrand Russell. Or something like that.
Don't see why not. They could just be waiting on until a big opportunity arises in the corn farming industry. please log in to view this image
The other one of his is something like " Time you enjoy wasting is never wasted time." Best excuse for being an idle sod I've heard.
Bloody flooding. Took me almost 2 hours to get to work today so many bridges and roads are out. Still quite spectacular seeing so many places underwater. Can't imagine what it was like a day or two ago- stayed home. Very lucky had the foresight to buy our house in a high location. Kept power and water throughout flood (have to boil though). Been very lucky. Still a bloody pain navigating and probably will be for weeks until roads rebuilt.
Can you see Hash's hovel from there? Seriously, hope you're ok. I didn't realise it was that bad until I saw the news this morning.
I'm fine. Just inconvienienced. I know plenty of people worse off than me though. Stopped raining but another dam breached a few hours ago so who knows if I can find roads open to get home tonight.
For what it's worth: I saw a car a couple of weeks back with the number plate ****E 606. I thought of you all.
